Some Navitimer eyecandy...

Just thought I'd share with you, my Navitimers as it currently stands. I've had a lot of Navitimers over the years: gen and rep, some I've really regretted selling, but that's the nature of collecting.... You just can't have it all!

Gen Navitimer Fighters Serie Speciale:
Calibre B13. Standard unmodified.

Franken Navitimer A23xxx:
BP calibre 23 case set, gen dial & hands. ETA 7753; gen rotor - needs a gen dw. Gen calf deployant with rep clasp.

Franken Navitimer A13xxx:
BP calibre 23 case set, gen dial, gen hands, gen dw, ETA 7750 elabore w/gen rotor. Gen calf deployant with rep clasp.

Navitimer 1 Chronograph 41 A13xxx:
KOR factory full head set & clasp. Waccex BOB Marino saddle calf deployant.

That Fighters gen is absolutely gorgeous! And you've now inspired me to do a Franken A13XXX using one of my BP A23XXX cases. Now I just need to source a gen dial and hands....

BP only has the 3 ,6 ,9 layout. The A23322 at 41.8mm..
BP also has the 6,9,12 layout in the navitimer world at 46mm though..

Yeah that’s right, I’m assuming the 3,6,9 layout 7750 would have the same crown hight as the BP 6,9,12 as BP factory disabled the chrono for this version to eliminate the sunken datewheel which is caused by the Asian 7753 transfer gears and making it a thicker movement.
What I’m trying to find out is if this BP A23322 case will take the eta7750 without having stem hight issues.
I see importr used the BP case for his 6,9,12 franken so was curious.

At the time it was released, as in the dealer pics, it had the wrong hands....from the Bentley GT. Coincidentally, the Bentley rep had Navitimer A23xxx hands! So I bought them both and swapped the hands over. They look like black in the pic below, but, as in the gen, they are actually like smoke rhodium to contrast with the silver dial.

IMO, the BP case set is as close to gen as I've ever seen. Just the dial (and ultimately the movement and hands) need upgrading. If I'm being really picky I'd have liked the slide rule bezel insert to be slightly silvery like KOR navitimer. But I'm just splitting hairs now, the (BP bezel) alignment with gen dial is pretty good.

As you might have noticed, my A13 and A23 frankens have the correct hand sets for that model. Rare as hens teeth in the used market but may be possible via Scotchwatch?

Navitimers never where my cup of tea, but man that fighters series is stunning!

I think it's the combination of the brushed finish, clear (almost absence) of the crystal and of course having that extra work of craftsmanship of being gen.

Are your franken using the BP slide rule? Or a gen slide rule?
