Solid gold?

Is there such a thing as a two tone Sub, or any other style Rolex rep, that has solid gold links and bezel? Has there ever been? Although it would be expensive, still nowhere near retail of a genuine tt Sub.

Absolutely!!! They cost an arm and a leg... and a kidney, a spleen, some additional fingers, a toe, an ear, etc!!!!

After doing lots of research via the Internet, I've concluded you can piece together a two tone Submariner with a solid bezel, and solid band for far less than expected. I found a solid ss/18k replacement band from a dealer on ebay for $624. Not plated, but solid center links. Also a gen solid 18k bezel is about $400, plus the crown is about $140. All I'm waiting on is to find out if a Noob Sub will take a gen bezel and I'm going to go for this whole setup. Cost, $2k give or take. Combine this with an ETA movement, and it'll be one sweet piece.

Nope, noob sub will not take gen bezel.
The only rep sub that will is the WM9/BK. That is why I suggested you have a rep one made to your specs instead of buying a gen. Would be cheaper than gen as well.

Thanks for letting me know this. I guess I'll be on the hunt for a WM9 then. Trevor is looking up a price for the solid two tone version at his end. I'll post when I find out.

The price I was quoted was $7K. If I can find a WM9, I can do it for $2K. I like my way better

I've seen Gens around the 4.5k mark on the bay .... not much more...
