I just NEED to get the new 45mm version. It's virtually perfect (save the weak AR). Good news for us EU guys... I asked Precious Time and he promised to get them in stock.

I always wanted to have both colors (black and orange) and this is a perfect excuse to fulfill that. Bond fans can buy the rubber strap later. ;)

This is mind-blowingly accurate.

Ordered from PT, a couple of weeks ago, the 007 Seamaster so in no time it'll be here (hope so). Next one?:

I'd like a Red Letter SMP Co-Axial (2220.80.00) as seen in Casino Royale. Anyone making them yet? I'd go for a high-quality ETA rep of this.

I'd like an 'ultimate' 42.5mm Planet Ocean on a rubber strap with correct AR.

Being that the 'ultimate' is only available in the larger size, there's no 'good' rep rubber strap available, and there's no AR or even aftermarket AR option available yet, I'm not holding my breath.

I'd get the SMP chrono, but I already have an SMP.

I really like Omega, but I have a feeling it's going to be a while before I buy another one. I've got an old-school Omega Bond watch (the good but not perfect one), a Tag Link Chrono....and I'm planning to get the Big Bang and the ROO...and probably a modded Pam 111h if I can get a decent deal. So I've got a few ahead of the PO on the pecking order.

the orange PO,... but can't decide between a 42mm or the 45mm.

I have a 6.5 inch wrist.

Go for the 4th Gen (42mm) version if you're not sure. It's extremely accurate and good replica. The only problem is the clasp which has a loose feel. Doesn't really bother me though.

But then again... 45mm doesn't look oversized on Daniel Craig. He's a small man and it still looks excellent on him. Maybe the rubber strap plays a part though. But I think my 8' wrist can handle it.

I believe the 45 mm would be too large, but depends on your preference.

Off that question... can anyone measure their omega rubber strap for the PO, or does anyone know if it's too large for a 6 inch wrist?

I guess I'm not the only one with a freakishly large 8' wrist, and that is why I ordered a Railmaster XXL. Then after Xmass, I'll order the ultimate PO 45mm with orange numerals and put a black band on it (since black is slimming)

If my next watch is an Omega (considering that my collection already contains about 50% Omegas, rep or gen), it won't be one of the usual suspects, like Speedy or SMP. Possibly an Aqua Terra? Either that or a Double Eagle.

gjermund123there are just too many :) my next is davidsens vintage deco bezel then, since i have a lovely AT it will prob be the red casino royal, if avail , then MAYBE a double eagle . not that i dont adore the DE , its just that im getting too many watches , and im not a collector ! i wear them and if i dont get around to wearing 1 i dump it .
however, Rubys marina fiddy, the calif dial minni fiddy , the vintage deco by davidsan and the bond will all stay when i get the last 2 mentioned :)

my next omega's the 2254.50 -- just as soon as some dealer steps up and starts offering one that's not crap!
Didn't we have one of these before?

I may buy another SMP 300m Pro GMT.
I wear mine often... almost every day, as a wear-to-work beater - so it would good to have another as back-up

pugwash: well, yes, if you mean how 1-3 years ago there were both the super-wicked (eta-2892-based) reps of legend, or some fairly decent reps with minor problems (eg, just with wrong second/minute hand, or just w/ seaNaster name, etc)...

but now?... people's jaws are dropping over dials with ridiculous METAL markers, completely wrong bezel inserts, weird date window shapes/locations, wrong HEV location, awful hands, green lume, wrong case size, etc, etc. there was a time when people were talking about the grueling pursuit of the _perfect_ pearl for this thing... now i don't think they'd recognized the correct _dial_ or bezel insert -- and i don't mean the intricacies of the font, i mean they're putting black versions of the blue/bond insert on these things.

man, i just don't know...

seems this crappiness came just at the same time as the planet ocean became so popular, went through five generations of perfectionism. it's been all downhill for the 2254.50, and yet in the real/gen world, it's been a "classic" mainstay of the line.

same thing with the rolex 5513 (WHITE-LETTER!) -- considered one of (if not) THE most classic submariners ever, and yet can you find a single good rep of it?... nope.

blargh!
