Let me tell you about the water moccasin that I caught while fishing while on a high school retreat... Caught it, put it in an igloo cooler and took it home. Put it in the swimming pool...
When dad came home and jumped in the pool he saw this thing swimming toward him and got out quickly. He then explained to me that it was one of the most deadly snakes in the US...
I had the car taken away and some other rather unpleasant punishments over that one. But in the end, I learned to leave them alone ALL OF THEM.
I am definitely not Steve Irwin (May he RIP)!

It certainly IS good to kill many things. Especially if they can kill you first. Like deer and turkey and wild hogs and... well, you get my drift. It's all Darwinism out there, Baby!!

Turkeys are out to kill us?

Nice snake trailboss!

Here in RI, USA we don't have any lethal snakes anymore although we used to have Copperheads, sea variety as I recall.

Last year I was playing golf and had to walk over some rocks to find my ball. All of a sudden this snake rose up from the rocks and lunged at me; it scared the shit out of me! It was about 4-5 feet long, about the size of your house guest. A friend of mine, who is into reptiles, told me it was a Black Racer and that they often take an aggressive stand but rarely strike with vengeance. I took a drop and lost the hole!

Hey trailboss, how about an update on your bushfire situation. We tend to only get today's news without any follow ups.

Yeah, King Browns are nasty little suckers. Not only deadly but a real bad attitude to boot. They will go you before running away. I have had the buggers chase me! The little ones are hard to tell from Red Belly Blacks. While it's safe for an adult to pick up a baby Red Belly (it'l just hurt a lot if it bites) a baby Brown will still put you in hospital at best.
