Hi all.
I've been duped. Pure and simple. It looks nothing like the pictures that were provided and is in my opinion quite obviously a replica.
What I would like to know now is just how fake it is.
As in wheres it from/anything you can tell me about it. I may sell it on or franken watch it if it's possible... I'm pretty cut to be honest.

Thanks in any case.

Looks nice, how do you know it's a rep?

I don't know enough about these to tell as I just bought my first vintage Tudor sub and I haven't even received it yet.

If what you got looks nothing like the pictures you were shown, that indeed is a red flag. However, I can't see anything in your pictures that would lead me to believe it's obviously a rep. You should take it to an AD first so they can verify the movement, at the very least.

Based on crown guards I would agree it looks like it may be a rep. Maybe post the sales pictures?

From your pics pretty much no parts are authentic original Rolex parts. I'm pretty sure the movement is fake also. Why put a genuine movement when it's so blatantly put together. I would try to get a refund if you have been led to believe its real.

Pretty weird first post, but yes, it's a rep - where did you buy it, how much did you pay, what payment method did you use ?

I agree with this. Your first thought after finding out your gen is actually a rep...is to ask what gives it away as a rep and if you should franken it?!?

LOL. And he hasn't come back to see the replies - which I'd guessed anyway . . . some weird people on the internet.
Some guy put up a thread here a couple of months ago, claimed he'd fought for the British army, got wounded in battle and was forced to sell all his gen watches in order to pay for his medical expenses . . . it was obvious he expected somebody to offer to send him a watch or 2 - he made 1 post and then disappeared.

I remember that post...

I was also approached by some fellow looking for a free Hand Built acoustic guitar (probably valued at around $3000+ ) because he'd been broken into and all his stuff stolen. I wonder if someone did give hime what he wanted at the end...

Did you consider sending him a few?

Why wouldn't this guy just take a picture of the movement? I'm calling BS on this one-post moron.

I'm back.
I paid 800usd from a Rakuten seller, upon further inspection it appears the original images we're actually taken from a Rolex forum type seller. Currently working on getting my money back but I'm not super optimistic.
I haven't had the case opened up but by guess is a ETA clone of some sort. It's 28'800 which it shouldn't be; it should be an ETa 2776 which was 21'000 bph.

Heres some of the pics it was shown with. The original add has been removed and the seller appears to have deleted his account.
