Just wondering if anyone else has one and if they had the same issue and how they fixed it? I'm thinking of somehow replacing the band with a nato/something else but as of right (don't even know how to get it off without destroying the oyster flex bracelet because there's no guide on the Internet on how to remove it) now I can fit 2 whole fingers while the watch is on my wrist.

I tried seeing if the micro adjustments would work but they only micro adjust like 5mm

i think, that you can order just a shorter rubberstrap as a spare part from one of our TD's

I am relatively sure that you have the BP version (look at the crown guard, if the look like submariners cg than you have the BP version, JF and noob are both very new and the noob comes allready with a normal and a shorter strap).
If its the BP version you can order (other TDs will have them as well):
Replica RubberB rubber strap perfect fit for BP factory Yacht-Master 116655 only. Length: 74mm x 64mm (able to cut strap to make it shorter)
http://www.ts-station.cn/watch-stra...b-strap_1156963e679e715409c61f956fc22279.html

or this one:

Yacht-Master 116655 BP Rubber Strap For Shorter
http://www.ts-station.cn/watch-stra...shorter_99b28542d205e8ca227dabd4558610de.html

both versions should fit with your wrist size.

Thanks for the links but is there a tutorial on how to remove the oyster flex strap? I don't see any obvious ways of removing it

According to Angus, the two straps that come with the Noob version is:

Stock strap:
57.6mm / 62.2mm

Free strap:
67.8mm / 72.8mm

My current strap looks like the second link one which looks very different from the first, both fit the same?

The second is the shorter version of your strap (more like the original Oysterflex, the other one is like an RubberB) and will fit for your waist seize. The other strap you can cut to fit it perfect for your wrist.
To change the straps this may help:):

Not sure which fac it's from but my sub and the 116655 crown guards look the same so I'm assuming it's bp

I can't seem to find any gap between the oyster flex and the lugs and I'm too afraid to go in with a tool incase it scratches the lugs. Can anyone confirm I can in fact remove this safely

Definitely no noob and no JF. It is the BP version IMHO. The rubber strap is mounted with
a spring-bar so you have to go carefully
(with
a tool for fitting and removing spring-bars
or a tiny screwdriver) between the lug and the strap to remove the spring-bar. I've done it with mine too. Not a big problem if you try it very carefully.

A watch smith might be a good idea [emoji6] This should be the BP version too. I think you would most likely have a A2824 or perhaps an A2836.

Yeah, problem is the gen comes in quite a few sizes, rep does not. I'm considering having a nice black lizard strap made for mine.
I can't think of any other leather that would look right on one of these.

If you plan on getting one let me know who you get it from, I'd love to have straps on the side

Had to do the same thing with my oyster flex strap. I just went for it and did it. I've got very little experience with these things but I got a tool kit and figure why not. Used the small tool that looks like a 2 prong fork. Got it to work first try and was able to size up the strap by one notch. Fits amazing now. No problems. No scratches.

I thought the "stock" strap was the longer one and the short one was the freebie??
