Joe Torre was correct in calling him A Fraud in his book. [smilie=laughing9.gif]

I would shoot him up with steroids myself if it would help him get a hit in the playoffs. (yes, I am a Yankee fan)

Now ARod will join Bonds, Clemens, and McGuire as players that will never see the hall of fame.

Its kind of silly when you think about it because they all used performance enhancing drugs of some sort...

I would be more surprised by the ones that have not tested positive.
Mike Piazza. Clean.
Gay-Rod just needs to admit he did it, like roid-ambi and petite did. He would be forgiven but lets face it this generation of roid player is not going to be recognized because they cheated. More worse in the case of Clemens and Bonds.

You aren't serious when you say Mike Piazza was clean, are you? You didn't notice that towards the end of this career his head didn't even fit in his helmet. THEY ALL JUICED!

What's steroids? Chances are I missed it as I was focused on the balls flying out of the park ... you know... the entertainment.. 8)

I have to agree with D4M. Personally I do not care if they all use steroids. Pro ball, whether, baseball or football I would love to see teams of super players. For the kind of money that you have to pay to see them play, I want my moneys worth. Then again, I do not hold any pro sports as sacred, I love sports but it is not that important to me.

It is amazing how many people think that a human could naturally have 20 inch arms.

Lol...He always had a big head. Have a look at Bonds when he was young. He was like a toothpick.
I will say this...I love baseball. The game has taken a serious hit historically. Pay attention to how players have been treated in the past and you will find they are virtually blackballed for life. I understand wanting to be entertained, but this issue is a very serious one. It's a sad situation that cannot be swept under the rug. When it's time for the hall to call on guys like Mcgwire, Bonds, Clemens...You are going to see an iron curtain. No entry, no glory, nothing but the asterisk left next to there names in the record books.

Well,, my point is that it is hard to claim ignorance (especially the owners) as fans. We were entertained by the home run race, the sosa vs. mcguire saga.. etc. and so long as we were entertained it was easy for us to not question it. But then... someone made a big deal of it so people started jumping on that band wagon. Those people are identified as the Holier than Though crowd. Getting a blow job by a hooker somewhere in DC but stand in session making Steroids in Baseball Americas #1 enemy instead of spending the millions and millions attorneys are making off this and better equipping our solders (regardless if you are for or against the war). The entire homeless population could be housed in civic houses across the US , fed etc.. for the money these hypocritical politicians are throwing at GHB and Barry Bonds. WTF??

Dont get me started on President Hussein's budget plan which calls for increased spending in all areas except for major cuts in the military... during war time!

And then his Stimulus Which Provides More Emergency Aid to Health Care Industry than for Job Creation. The money going to the health care industry in Obama's stimulus package focuses more on hospital relief than pure job creation. States could receive upwards of $125 billion for Medicaid, including more than $85 billion in temporary matching funds to help insure those applying for state aid... as apposed to creating jobs so that they do need state aid.

Lol ok we got off the rails here a bit. I agree with your points D4m. I try to look at baseball as it's own entity. Which our government has done for over a century also.
Baseball virtually governs it's own self. This Bonds thing is completely retarded yes.
Also, I have looked at the details of the stimulus bill, and it's a complete and utter joke. I don't care if you support this man or not, he is going to kill the future of this country if he thinks spending a billion dollars on a 2010 census. 600 million for government employees to buy new cars? Ugh..
Mostly all hard working middle class income people are not going to see a dime from this package. The health care issue....
It's going to be interesting to see how we can figure out how to make companies like AIG even RICHER than before...Unemployed WHO DO NOT HAVE CHILDREN people get offered cobra. This cost is somewhere around 800 a month...Now they can get it for 650? Lol WTF are you serious? I am out of work and I am going to pay what? Almost 98% of all the states in the US have free or low cost health care programs for families on low income or unemployed parents. Who is benefiting from this? The insurance companies!
Great.

Back to baseball...

I also do not care who WAS/IS using what to improve their performance on the field (in any sport) BECAUSE THEY ALL WERE/ARE!

On Obama...

His stimulus package is flawed. But if you think his presidency is going to destroy this country, its too late...Bush beat him to it!

^^ Players in every Era cheated one way or another ( lol maight as well put a asterik on everyone )

Hank Aaron used amphetamines or "greenies" which is a antidote for everything from hangovers to garden-variety fatigue.

Willie Mays kept a bottle of “red juice†in his locker the same stuff as greenies, but in a liquid form.

Nine of every 10 major-leaguers are taking some kind of stimulant before each game Greenies, caffeine pills, ephedrine (the stuff found in the blood of dead football players Korey Stringer and Rashidi Walker last year) -- how about a little something before or after batting practice? Going without an amphetamine or
stimulant is known among the fellas as "playing naked."

Sure it's an entertainment but these are also role models and kids (and adults) look up to them. Bottom line is, Steriods is unhealthy and if we tolerate it then we're sending a message that it's ok to take Steroids.

on another note the whole ephedrine thing explains why kaz matsui looks crazy as hell when he steps up to the batter box.. i always thought he was on something... too bad steroids or overloading on ephedrine didn't help him much he still sucks.

LOL. I am already seeing people on the news coming to his defense saying he he had to do it in order to maintain performance for his $275 mil contract. He didn't 'have' to do anything. He chose to take steroids so he could GET the $275 mil contract.

Mays and Aaron did not cheat. Huge difference between taking a caffeine pill and injecting yourself with growth hormones. Ya think? It's like saying Ruth ate hotdogs and drank beer to bulk up and give him an edge. Not really a fair comparison.
