Yes, I'm not bashing the TC, I have my second on my wrist(sold my first two years ago) and a third on the way. It's just these great photos show more then the eye can see in most cases. Very nice op!

This is a great reference, thank you. I have a genuine crown and insert on my V6 and a gen crown on my LV. My yachtmaster crown is still TC as it has not broken yet i've no reason to replace it. What catches my eye is the gen case looks thinner and more polished on the lugs but its hardly a fair comparison as the Gen is from 1990 and the TC is new but made to look like about a year 2000.

I would personally never judge anyone with a dodgy insert on a sub. Can't know if it's a gen or rep watch on that basis.
