You have a point however,
the entire purpose of this thread is larger watches on skinny wrists. Some look good... others not so much. Case size isn't the only factor though, which should be considered. Lug length and shape play a role. Also the type of band can also make or break the appearance of a watch. I think that's why thick bands look so good on PAMs.

I'll be posting some pics soon, hopefully sooner than later

Good feedback Taze00!
Looking forward to seeing your pics. :)

I just got a new IWC 3777 HBB
my wrist is almost 6.5" the 3777 case is 43mm but the dial is 37mm! Compared with a PAM111 the case is 44mm but the dial is about 35mm.

In an effort to help our community I think we should have a Skinny Wrist Club thread, where we post ongoing wristshots of our watches on our skinny wrists. This data can help our skinny purchasing decisions. Show us your old models and newest models. Sure you can post a large PAM, or DSSD, on a 6.25" wrist. That would be great to see! It may not be acceptable to some, but others may find it just right.

Here is the criteria I would like to try to follow in this thread;

Let's see wrist shots of watches if your wrists are 6.5" (16.5cm) or less.

Please post your pics with the following;
-Your Wrist Size
-Watch Model
-Case Size
And and additional info you find helpful.

its available now.

Hey @cwazy1
That's a nice video. Thanks for sharing.

Wearing a Patel as a beater to do yard work LOL

I've seen people on both rep and gen forums swap sides for the strap so the deployant fits more comfortably. Just saw it done on two IWC 5002 Big Pilots. That might or might not work for your deployant issues.

Cheers

Finally came back to the States after 2 longs years living abroad and I myself looking at a pile of watches waiting for me. Always been scared of the sheer size of the 243 but damn it's one awesome watch, definitely stands out among the bunch. Will be getting the most wrist time in the foreseeable future.

basicly you bought a ladies watch?

You know, I have a (straight) friend that is so secure in his manhood that he wears a purple watch.

The being said, I see no reason to wear, or drive, a compensator. In fact, if you look in the catalogue you will wonder if what you say is what I did; however, a further pursual will show that a mens "slim line" model is the same watch with a different strap (and an $800 price difference). So, an order of an FC, and order of a strap from C&B resulting in a Mens watch for a fraction of the price. However, yes, you would need to be a bit more secure to pull it off.:cheer:

It come down to the issue that many have never worn, or seen, a dress watch. A dress watch should easily slip under the sleeve and should not dominate the style. Yesterday at work I was wearing a 3 pice that is cut (intentionally) in a progressive era (early 1900s') style. In that era wrist watches were not worn at all. If it were being worn as a costume some steampunk monstrosity would have been fine; but, I was wearing it for work. Very simply, the dress-watch was much more sensible.

It is a shame that the dress watch (not the bling watch, that is a very different thing, and for a different market) and, for that mater the midsize, has fallen out of style. Remember, it is about the man, not the accessories.
