hi there


i would like to share some pictures of my modified U2 (sorry for the bad photo quality)

the mods done are:

-relume with Superluminova
-modified dry-capsule to make this watch look closer to the original one
(this mod is verry easy to make, simply remove the fake capsule from the dial, than apply some glossy paint on it, let it dry and than glue it with some epoxy on the under side of the dial (the hole is allready there, but you should enlarge it if you want it to look the same as the original)...in this case i did not enlage it.

-relumed bezel dot

now, i'm trying to adjust the datewheel to get the numbers centered...never done before...i will keep you updated.

Nice mod, indeed the lume is unfortunately nothing particular out of the box. A pity, as they really succeeded in making an excellent AR coating.
For the capsule, I wonder why it was not like this from the factory : the hole is already here, which is a very useful information for modders

Why is this almost the first Sinn rep I've ever seen - is it bkz they are sub-$5K watches and rep demand is low? What was source of this one?

I love the look of the Sinn 103 Ti Sa Ar Utc tool watch, and may buy a gen one day. Also like the way you can stack features - order it almost any way you want.

For the newbie question, Sinn has a couple of tech touches to keep works dry/no moisture for dive-watches. Ar is for Argon capsule.
