First Order--not so smooth

So as a Noobie, it took a lot of reading and forum browsing before i pulled the trigger.
After going to a AD and tryin on the Omega PO 42mm, black dial with orange #'s, i decided
to get the rep. Ordered from Wo-mart as I've read some decent reviews bout that dealer
recently and prices are reasonable. Ordered 11/30 and sent $$ via WU next day.
Few days pass, no tracking # but he did say he picked up the money. Now its 12/9, and
few emails later, finally get a reply that its out of stock and it'd be a while before its avail.
I've been asked to pick another watch if i'm not willing to wait and he is going to throw in a MB
pen. I 'm kind of reluctant to wait for it to become avail but that is the watch i wanted.
Any ideas on wat to do or waht other watch i can try to replace my order with??
Any help would be great...

Unfortunate... tough call but you could always choose another rep from paul and buy the PO for yourself for christmas from another dealer! If you can only afford one tho I'd be inclined to wait. If its what you've always wanted then you will be disappointed with anything else. I have the 4th gen PO and its some watch.

If this is the watch you want, you should wait i guess. I'm waiting already more then 1 month,
first package seized by customs.
Dealer has resend new watch today....another 14 days, if also not seized...

i think wo-mart has more bad reviews than good. and he offers a POS MB pen as compensation?? tell him to shove it and you want your dough back!! plenty of others dealers who have the same watch for sale.....maybe not as cheap,but you'll get it i'm sure.

Thx for all the advice, I've emailed him on how long it would take for it to be available.
If its more than a month i'd prob search for a replacement. I don't really want a MB pen,
esp if its a POS. I went into this deal knowing getting a refund would be near impossible
so i'm not even thinkin that its an option...oh well

This is his famous bait-and-switch. He accepts money for watches he knows are out of stock and then offers you an alternative.

Trusty and Josh have the same watch and would have been much better to deal with. Sorry to hear of your misfortune. I would demand a refund and buy elsewhere.

I've never dealt w/ Wo-mart but if I were you I'd ask for a refund.

Maybe all of the ecstatically happy positive reviews outweighed the bad...

Dont see how that could be.. the man has a history, not a good one..

you will note that he is not selling on this forum..

is reason for that...

Demand money back.

Buy elsewhere.

Be happier and have watch you want when you want it.

You will get what you want and if there is an issue, he will take care of you every time. The small amount of price difference is just not worth the hassles.

wow really? i thought there were more bad than good reviews?

I would ask for him to WU you the money back and take the losses of money spent wiring to him. I've read more bait and switch and "out of stock" and false advertising along with poor customer service to convince me to not shop with him.

I wouldnt wait for it. You might get a PO not in the picture, but he'll tell you "Hey, it's the latest model"

I emailed him once. communication was good, but he seemed real anxious to have me WU the money to him even though i was just inquiring about stock.

Was it the lower prices that tempted you so?
