I've been a fan of Sinn but their smaller size cases was not for me. I just now see the Ultimate U in 47mm and my question is what the consensus is on the reliability of those from Puretime, or any other trusted dealer? I won't be diving or abusing the watch (take care of what I have), so I guess the main reliability issue is with the movement. Such a question probably applies to all Sinn reps though. Is the Puretime Ultimate U the best gen out there? I am getting the non-PVD model. My gues is the watch is no better or no worse the all those mainstream models like Croton, Invicta, etc. Also, when a dealer says a watch has 50atm or so and so, does this mean the rep maker has tested it? Like I said, I won't be diving but if the odd shower or hand-washing gets it wet, I'd to think the watch would be kaput. Thanks in advance to all who chime in.
p.s. are there any other Sinn models in 47mm and up?

The Ultimate U from Puretime will be the same as an Ultimate U from any other rep seller.
The dealers all sell the same stuff.

The Ultimate is advertised as having >50 Meters (not 50 ATM) water resistance
BUT
Never trust dealers claims of water resistance.
Always get a watch checked and pressure tested before risking them around water.

I bought a Sinn rep with claimed water resistance and found that the caseback was loose. It happens all the time.

They only made 200 of those watches probably only for sale through THG. you're not going to find dials and such on eBay. I bet everything will be very exclusive, when a specific AD has a watch made for them I could imagine it's not going to turn into an eBay parts fest.

Wow I didn't know that there is an Ultimate v2 with correct datewheal color. What are the tells from Ultimate v2 vs. GEN?

The biggest tell with Sinn reps is that the engraving on the bezel is finer on the gen.

Hey guys. I just received mine from Trustytime. PM me if you want me to email you the QA pics. Its an amazing watch, been wearing it for the last few days. Very light, but feels sturdy and well built. Cant fault the face at all when compared to gen watch photos apart from the font seems to be slight thinner than the real thing, but thats hardly noticeable. With the swiss movement, for $250US its an amazing buy.
