silencing VSF PAM rotor noise?

Anything that can be done? its very noisy and rotor spins like fidget spinner which sounds silly and unprofessional. Bought 1 month ago from the one watches

You have to lubricate the rotor bearing with Moebius 9104.
After that it should improve a lot.
P.s: if it is a VSF P9000, remember that it is unidirectional, so in the direction of rotation where it does not load, it will spin freely like a top, and that is very normal.

You might want to ask a watchmaker to do it. If you only have one watch to silence, that might be the cheaper option.
You'd be surprised how expensive those oils are.

You'd be surprised how expensive those oils ainteresting. i did contact one repairer (here as trusted) and he said that oiling does not necessarily fix rotor noise as rotor mechanism is bad quality. Any merit for this? why is rotor noise issue on vsf panerai watches?

It's the way they are built. Sometimes lubrication helps a lot, sometimes only a little. No guarantees.

It looks as if the watchmaker felt the need to set your expectations right. He can't make any promises though.

Bottom line: If it bothers you, try lubrication.

Well, oiling does help.
And yes - the rotors on the VSF Pam clones aren't great. ball bearnigs are inferior and tollerances are larger which leads to some noice.

I guess the person you contacted told you the truth - it's possible that oiling doesnt bring the desired effect. And you'll be left feeling cheated. Also many watchmakers won't do such simple repairs as they are in high demand and refuse simple tasks as they take a lot of time. The fix is quick, but managing packages, printing shipping labels etc is tiresome.

I have a VSF PAM 1046 coming from Steve. I hope to not have this issue. Closest watchmaker I trust is an hour plus away, and he isn't too hip on rep work.
