AHA,

Didn't know that there will be a "second round" of reveals.
Hoping to see some more contemporary models.
That being said, I think most of us have alread spotted them on Insta or FB.

That's the word -- most of the guys out there are so full of sh!t or drunk off their ass, so who knows the veracity of the claim haha. I will say that "best is yet to come" came directly from Panerai, but that could merely be marketing to shove this modern direction down consumers' throats. There has been a lot of talk about the movement of Submersibles into their own, distinct line and little talk of Luminors. My bet is that a new crop of Luminors will be on the reveal list, if anything ...

Have not seen a reference number yet -- I'm thinking somewhere in the high-900's. It was presented yesterday with relatively little fanfare. The word is that it will only be available at boutiques and limited to 1,000 units per year. Panerai has been hinting that the "best is yet to come" so everyone is waiting for the big reveal today or tomorrow. For those alienated by the modern direction of the first day, the hope is that the remaining unveilings will appeal more the vintage/core side of the brand ...

this is not a limitation, it's a goal...
i bet a strap that they will not achive that number in twelve months.

Colors of the rainbow carbotech ...

These has been disproven as fake pictures so I would hazard a guess that the Mike Horn Yuckmaster colors of the rainbow variations are also fake. Not that it would stop the rep factories from making them if they wanted to. But just replicate the easiest ones to do first, get some momentum going for PAM subs again, then give the novelty of these fantasy subs.

Yep -- just saw that and you're right on the Horn editions. This looks like a perfect opportunity for unnecessary fantasy pieces that the rep factories would jump on haha

Who knows? Might even have been OP's attempt to confuse the rep factories, release a bunch of silly variations in the hopes of tripping them up.

I wouldn't be surprised if they scale that back to 1,000 pieces total -- the guys who were at SIHH have said the 1,000/year number is the quoted volume. Then again, if there are people willing to burn money on the $60k pieces w/ "experiences" there may be a good number willing to spend less than half that on a new bronze watch ... Sign me up for the $428 rep haha.

Damn. That 45mm Radiomir 8 days is a straight rip off of a homage is saw a few weeks ago on HF.
Slap some gold hands on it and it’s beautiful.

And I’m happy for finally having a 42mm sun with ceramic bezel. The 47mm ones were always too big.
As for the bronze, people are pissed because now they have a significant decrease in value of their LE bronzos, but I’m happy about this, it’s a piece for everyday wear and more will be able to obtain one.

Alas I’m still hoping for a 44 or 42mm bronzo.

Lets see how long the factories will take for the 42mm subs.

An unexpected treat on the PAM 979 (which appears to be the benchmark for the broader Submersible line):

Is the Frogman caseback!! I can't imagine the errors we'll see on replication haha, but this is a cool little touch that at least will bring a little grin:

Love the PAM 979 caseback, but not a fan of all the carbon on the dial etc. Think i like the Luna Rossa the best of the new models. But nothing super exciting this year in my opinion.

That looks promising:
I like the crystal etched Panerai logo!

I’m of a mixed mind on the etched crystal. It’s a nice touch I suppose and technically it cleans up the dial, but at certain angles it interferes with readability and just looks plain wonky. I can’t help but think that’s there’s a better to accomplish what objective they’re trying to achieve ...

Not that I have any idea how to do it. I’ll go back to trying to kick a field goal at Goose Island ...

Methinks the text on the crystal does nothing for legibility, they just put it there to "look cool".

I like the military style of the PAM 961. It will be a limited edition of 33 pieces.
