Have you had any issues with scratching the AR on the surface? That would be my only reluctance
Nope and everyone asks that question maybe the Chinese AR is known to scratch but the AR Steve @rnrprof uses does not. I have AR on my gen Omegas and it doesn't scratch though maybe its only on the inside IDK
Well kids the Magnificent JF LV is turning into a complete fail. Bezel and crystal pop off with your fingernails and bracelet attaches to SEL with springs and not solid pressed in bars.
TC will have nothing to worry about from JF thats for sure. All of Angus promises just marketing BS. Genuine Spec for sure!!!! LOL

I still stand by statement that the pearl ring is better than the TC

that brassy / gold looking color also happens to gens at certain angles - thats not the problem , the lip on the pearl surround in not as sharp as on a gen insert , and the pearl looks more deeply set in the gen.
you know I'm just pointing out how minute the flaws are not as a criticism ... love my TC stock standard its almost perfect , I have a gen crystal and insert but I just couldn't be bothered putting them on yet the watch is great , and no one has approached me to see my LEC yet haha

I have no feelings for either one, but as I said from the beginning: JF's Sub doesn't even compete against a TC.
I like JF's try, the movement and for the price it has its reason for existence, but other than that it's not worthy the comparison to a TC.

But my gen LN doesn't have such a strong brass coloured hue, but I've just got a gen LV insert so I'll prolly sell the TC insert

I really have nothing against the JF watch as it stands alone but I knew it would not be what Angus was promising. I didn't know it would be so incompetently made. It's one thing to have fonts slightly off/color/print/rehaut that's no big deal and has no effect on the performance of the watch. But to make the bracelet with springs holding it together that could fly off your wrist and the retention ring so loose and without a gasket that it comes off the watch complete with crystal just by using your fingernails is ridiculous and not the incredible 1:1 genuine spec he promised. I really didn't like all the fools in that thread drinking the koolaid and blindly following Angus like a bunch of cultist lead to their death.

I just think your getting too defensive of TC , if they like it let em have it , TC speaks for itself
I feel sorry for the ones that were taken in so easily by a salesman. Hopefully JF will make some drastic improvements so people can wear the watch.
