I'd always assumed the midcase was constructed from 316L but a search on the forum this morning also raised the possibility of 304L or even 314L. Confirmation sought for future laser welding work on an older case.

Will a gen 16610 bezel ring work with a TC comptrssion ring?

Havent dont it myself but from what I understand from previous build threads, the TC retaining ring has a greater outer diameter which has caused issues fitting a gen bezel. Some machining required.

I have done it and you are absolutely correct. I had to machine the crystal retainer to fit the gen bezel outer ring
