This is absolutely beautiful. I wanted to venture into the world of vintage-izing and this may just push me over the edge. Any recommendations on starting points for learning (either here or homageforum (they dont play well with google for confirming new accounts))? I have never taken one of my reps apart, but I am quite mechanically-inclined.

Im also afraid once I start into this process...I'll never stop.

This is what happens to all of us, study lots of genuine vintage pieces and read a lot here and at many other forums and sites

Got the 3646 a couple days ago and the hands are to dark, My Fault so another set is being made, This has got to be one of the most difficult watches to photograph! but I'm very happy.

This needs a Bump cause @black_Shark really put a lot of work into this 3646 and soon to be completed 6154 and I highly recommend him!

I actually think the dark hands look good. I think it gives it a true vintage look. IMO

I agree, the hands are awesome. That dark lume color is gen-like. Of course there are examples with lighter lume too, so in the end it's just a matter of tastes, but I would keep them like that.
S. has put great effort in these builds thrasher, that's pretty evident, and I imagine you contributed to it with great attention to detail. Good job both!

@blueradish made these straps for me and the pirate buckles came from Kain Heritage.

The 6154 is on its way with lighter hands for the 3646. Parts delays and my choice to not have the 6154 ship until the 3646 hands arrived and were relumed is why this took so long @black_shark did an incredible job for me even though I changed the parameters of the build at least once. @yodog can you put the hands on the the 3646 for me? Its a 6497 movement. Thank You all in this thread for your support.

OMG the 6154 finally made it to my city....Just a couple more days!!!!

The 6154 arrived and its incredible. @black_shark

The hands arrived for the 3646 and the shafts were to long so I had to sand those shorter, Then I got them on and noticed the minute hand is longer then the original and goes past the minute track. Then I pulled the crown and stem right out the side so my fault maybe , probably or A6497 fail. In any case frustration but the 6154 is so beautiful that makes up for everything.

Probably switch back to these ASAP
