I love this watch... But anyone else having movement issues? Seems to run fine for half a day, then just stops

I am tempting to add 512 for my collection. But anyone can take a pic of it on 7 inch wrist?
44mm luminor sit nicely on my wrist while 47 is too big.

I have a 512 got it through a M2M deal on Another forum, really happy with the watch but the movement seems to be a little diffrent than any of my other watches.

The 512 is the only handwind I have that doesnt seem to be possible to wind to a stop, there is no feel in the winding that indicates any overwinding protection either. Power reserve is about as expected and accuracy is good too.

Since it seems to be working I am not worried but is this is normal behaviour for this particual movement?

Figured it out.

Since the 512 movement apparenty is an auto movement with the rotor removed, this is a perfectly normal behaviour.

I got one from Ryan. I have to say it looks good. I did not have a chance to compare it with a gen, but I am quite satisfied with it. The 42mm size makes it a low-profile watch.

The two watches are radically different. The only similarity may be the colour of the numbers and dial.

I was struggling to decide between this and the 338. I picked the 338 because I think the lugs and crowns are more iconic of a radiomir.

The 512 just looks like a RAD-LUM offspring without much character tbh.

Having said that it is still a nice watch and if your only reservation is that it looks similar to your luminor than I'd say go for it as it is actually a very different style and will serve a very different purpose!

(Lol. Besides telling the time that is!!! :))

Just got my QC pics from Toro and mine doesn't have the blue screws either, which makes me . . .

Happy. :drinks_cheers:

Am I right in saying that even though the screws are correct, the movement is still upside down? Not knocking it as I have a 513 but that's the reason the blue screws don't bother me.

Letter,

yup, movement is rotated 180 degrees from they way it should look. It just bothered me a bit that the makers were using blue screws when the gen doesn't have them. It just struck me as odd so I'm happy to get one without the oddly colored screws.

of course being 180 degrees out of phase is pretty odd but that doesn't bother me as much for some reason.
