Wow, the gen was officially released about 2 weeks ago? V6F is really quick on this!

The gen also had this new NFC technology built in identify gen from reps. I'm sure these reps can't fake that yet but I wonder if they'll be able to fool even the NFC tech in the future.

its an interesting design. I see many of the haute horology brands like to do these different dials, so this one follows on that trend. something fun to add to the collection.
as for NFC, there are plenty of cheap NFC bracelets and tags used to unlock your phone and other stuff.. I don't see why they can't put one in it also.. just costs would be more...

Interesting, waiting to see seomone buy empty NFC chip and release apps to write/read to emulate the actual SF app.

@ShiroTenshi You read it by adding the number on the middle black disc when it points to the top 0-4 hour dial. So if the "4+" points to the 1 marker, then it's 5pm. The lone big hand is the minute hand.

Is that drop of water on the first pics.. the gen is mineral not sapphire and I think these reps are also mineral.

so after reading up on it.. seems this is their entry level model.. I thought it would be their upper end model.
as for the nfc..its seems can be used for other tasks like unlocking your phone.
it's basically that world map on the back, the nfc is probably stuck right behind it or it is it..

i guess if they really wanted to include it they could use something like this:

Perhaps, but not so much that it is the gen factory that does the excess selling. a better guess might be one that involves connections.. between gen factory and rep makers and without as much a QC I suppose.

Seriously I am wondering about the same thing because of how quickly the rep came out and I don't know about you guys but I really can't tell visually if there are any flaws

I love SevenFriday, I own two P series and they are great and I like this one mostly because of interesting way of reading the time but this caseback is just ridiculous and kind of ruins it for me. I know when I wear the watch I won't see the caseback but I still can't stand it.

Btw someone mentioned that nfc being hided under the world map and looks it's correct.

Ooops! Saw it was the same as in the rep (Miyota 82S7 21J automatic movement at 21600VPH)

Yes. That's why we are essentially getting the same watch without NFC tags

I was not a big fan of previous SevenFriday watches but this last V serie is very nice... still i'm not sure if i want to buy a gen or a rep... the gens are not that expensive.
