Can you give us an example? ( Without naming names but you can message me :p )
It's the classic playout of being offered a piece for say a few quid under the TD price, on a new stickered item, and people go for the ol'

WOULD YOU TAKE 50% OF YOUR ASKING PRICE PAY STRAIGHT AWAY BRO

Maybe I'm just being miserable 😂

Maybe I am stupid or naive, but I always pay listed price. I will try a lowball next time

I had one guy that I backed out and told him I'm choosing not to sell to him. I was selling a, still wrapped, Clean 116520. One other thing that drives me nuts is expecting me to get the thing shipped that moment and to them by a certain date with the price I'm charging for shipping. Rush rush rush.

It was 3 pages of back and forth.

  • He wanted timegrapher results - Sent
  • He wanted it shipped within 2 days - I told him it would be more, and I'd do my best.
  • He said my shipping quote was insane - I sent him screenshots from USPS, UPS and FedEx - then he said, "Oh".
  • After not hearing back for hours, I told him the post office was closed for the evening - he said, "Isn't there one near you that is open late?" - No. Not one I can make it to on time.
  • I had a prior family engagement the next morning, so it wouldn't be dropped off until the afternoon, which I felt is still acceptable.
  • He wanted more pics - Sent QC from my TD
  • He said it's not the same watch - Now I'm getting frustrated
  • Continuing to challenge if this is the same watch or not, I stopped it. Done and said, "I'm backing out of this one."
  • I was still very new, asked a mod and they said to follow my gut.
  • Sold it to someone else in about 15 minutes. They were happy.
Now, when I sell something, my tolerance for dumb and unrealistic questions is low. I'll keep it before I deal with bs like this again. We're also talking about a guy who's been a member for 10 years, but some 150 posts. Not very active. I'm sure some amazing sales story will materialize at some point in the future.

This kind of guy I know very well. He want TD experience but without TD price from m2m. The minute they become demanding just back out and refer him to a TD.

We are not dealers we are just watch hobbyists. To demand TD service level and more from a watch we make a loss on is just tiring.

Does it have a black dial and is it still available?. I'm asking for a friend who was hit by a runaway moose today in downtown Toronto. He's at the hospital in Vancouver and think it would make a good get well soon gift. His fifth cousin twice removed on his great nieces side will be doing the transaction and will be dealing with you.
