Hi Guys,

I just wanted to say how much I still love the Seiko brand that I grew up with having a few monsters over the years. I was able to buy this Seiko F1 Kinetic made for Honda in the rare black ion version about a year ago. I love the watch and would recommend to all.

I hear our member group say all the time that they want waterproof, accurate, ar, detail and a warranty so the topic always moves to buy a Seiko Monster, buy a gen. Maybe start with this one.

Regards,

Matt

I say it in these threads all the time when the discussion rolls around to waterproofing. "Buy a Seiko". In my business we will truly determine the waterproofing of a watch. You would be surprised how deep I have taken a Seiko. They are tanks. You can spend a lot more money on a watch, but you can not buy a better watch. IMHO. Now with the new Spring Drives I again have a new Seiko to lust after! :D

Hey brtelec,

Is that you in your Avitar with a new Seiko on? It looks like that gear will take you deep for sure.

Yeah Matt, I am a commercial diver, and we swear by Seiko. I have worked all over the world and I have seen a lot of high end dive watches. We usually take a high end watch deep one time just so it has been there. Typically we have no need for a watch, there are plenty of people paying attention to what we are doing topside. When watches are worn though they are Seiko, Citizen some Invictas.

HK45ca, That's a good question. There is a Seiko authorized service center here and in Manila where I bought my Sportura - so I always go to either for service. I just gave one of my "beat to death" Monsters to a friends 15-year old son and he loves it. Something about that Seiko tradition that never dies.

Yes you can send them for service. I sent my original Seiko 200m Automatic diver to them years ago after it had flooded and it came back repaired and it had a brand new strap on it. It was $35- at the time.
