Dhgate is fine, just go to the right seller and don't believe in the 1 to 1 clone BS.
Absolutely 100% agree. DHG is a steep learning curve seller wise, but it isn't gonna break most folks bank unless you are really stupid and try buying higher ticket stuff. I learned to stick with the TD's and M2M for that
I did end up getting a few piles of steaming coo poo, but I have a very grateful grandson who loves them.
I also found that some of the U1 watches are useful if I'm modifying a watch, some of the parts come in handy for less than it would cost to buy separately
In one case I wanted a red Submariner for my collection, no TD's had one, so I found a U1 on the gate.
That one has stayed in my collection, it's a lovely looking piece at circa $50.
A decent rep bracelet and clasp improved it no end aesthetically and feel / weight wise.
Yes it was galloping when I got it, but after running for a few days I put it on the TG and regulated it and hit the holy grail 0 s/d.
Around 6 months in now and it still doesn't gain or lose noticeably when worn for a couple of days. I have a couple of VSF's that don't match that, but I'm sure they will when I get my spare time back and regulate
I don't buy much from the gate these days, as thanks to RWI and the membership I now have better contacts to get spares and specific watches that are unavailable elsewhere. I have also upped my game and now started buying better quality replicas, had quite a few "as new" from M2M as well.
This is just my 10p worth, sharing a bit of what I've learned over the past 11 months, ya pays ya money yer takes yon choice
