So, I've been delaying posting this feedback post hoping we can come to a resolution but it seems we disagree on what a fair outcome is so I figured id take it to the group.
I bought a watch from @Repmaster1337 on which we agreed on a price of $1300. It was all the way in Norway and I'm in the US but it was a good deal and it was my first purchase in M2M. I sent him the $ immediately and he said he would ship it out. Within a couple days I got a pic of a bubble mailer in which he said is coming through Posten Norway. He provided me with tracking and I watched it for days.
Three weeks later (yesterday) the package came to my house, along with a bunch of other packages.
When I picked up the package, I knew immediately that it was empty. It had a hole in the mailer with packing tape over it. My heart sunk. I contacted the seller and filed a claim with RWI in which a moderator has been working with me to resolve.
I know that people put a disclaimer saying "not responsible for..." but they also agree to ship in a "bombproof" package. I have since bought and sold a few watches on RWI and all have been in a box and literally (well close) to bombproof.
Repmaster1337 flat out refuses to take any responsibility in this saying that it's not his problem and that he's not going to reimburse me any. In the short time I've been on RWI, I've made other purchases that have had no issue. When I'm a buyer, I pay immediately and review of the seller. I've yet to have an issue.
I felt that half of my money back would be fair and it's what I would do regardless if I used a box, an envelope or a gun safe. If the package was in a box then I probably wouldn't have made this post but even then, it's the right thing to do. Am I being unrealistic in that because it's what I would do that i expect someone else to do that same? Below is a screenshot of one of the images he sent me upon shipping, the others are the envelope and packing how it came to me.
