Have never been to Cambodia and would never fecking backpack at any age. If I wasn't chasing a fuzzy optic yellow ball around on the tennis court. I would try and be off of my feet and take other means of transportation.
Ah I had lots of good times, I travelled all over south east Asia, Japan, China, Korea, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Canadian girls were always fun!
Canadian girls are easy and very happy to agree with you. Was in England for 5 weeks when I was 18 but hiking / backpacking wasn't on the agenda. My friend and I kept to taking as much local transportation as possible and keep walking to a minimal.
See my friend and I had a house in Bromley Kent to stay in (his uncle was in Canada lol) so we only took weekend bags when doing overnight tourist crap.
It was just the two of us at the house and it was free to stay at, also we didn't cook very often other than breakfast. So it was a lot of chips with a pint or two and we at a lot of Chinese takeaway as well..
It was also nice to have a washer and dryer to clean our clothes...
Sounds like you had it sorted for the stay. I found England to be a bit boring. Only thing I enjoyed was getting on the piss and trying to bed anything that moved LOL
