6/21/11 IMPORTANT UPDATE: For Franken Builds Andy can not source you parts for Omega. He can only build your franken from your aquisition.

My local watchsmith will pressure test anything, costs $5.00...he wont work on reps anymore due to some moron with a rep rolex...

Those prices seem to good to be true. Hell my local smith charged me $50 for a dry pressure test.

I thought the same thing when I saw them but it is coming from a member with a long history on this forum and plenty of reviews.

Guy took a rep in claiming it to be genuine...and of course claiming smithy swapped the movement...fight ended when I brought my rep in (with same serial number...)

Another Update

6/21/11 IMPORTANT UPDATE: For Franken Builds Andy can not source you parts for Omega. He can only build your franken from your aquisition.

I talked to him today about servicing an Omega Speedmaster Pro with a Seagull ST1902 Chrono hand wind, and he said it would be $100 because of the chrono. So $65 is only for non chrono. You might want to verify the 7750 is included for $100. But still $100 is an awesome deal.

Also, he said he will be on vacation from 7/6-7/16, so he said if I wanted some work done, I should send him the watch after he gets back so he will have time to work on it. Sounds like a nice guy, and fun to talk to. Thanks for finding him!

Actually he serviced my PO Chrono for $65 and he said because it was an Asian movement. Did you tell Andy that your Omega was a rep with an Asian movement? Or did you say "Omega Speedmaster with a Segull St1902 movement"? I don't think Andy's memorized all the movements...

Or maybe it's just any Asian Swiss copy that is $65. So any ETA movements that the Asians copied. Or your movement could be in the Per Case Basis.

Also I don't think Andy knows about the Graphite Treatment regarding 6 oclock seconds chrono. Can anyone clarify where to get the graphite for the treatment?

I think someone is sending him a Daytona with seconds at six and i want to make sure that it's taken care of properly. He will figure out the jewel thing, but I'm not sure he will know what to do exactly regarding the fix.

Remember guys... I don't think he works with reps too often... then again I could be wrong.

I told him it was a replica, and that the movement was based off of a seagull ST1902. He said he knew the movement well. But maybe he thought I meant a real ST1902 and not a replica. The crown slips when winding the watch, and he said it was a pretty common problem on the gen speedmaster, and that he could fix it, but would have to use a generic crown, and not a gen crown. That is okay with me, just want it working correctly. Anyway, thanks again, and I'll let you know how it turns out after I get it back, probably in August sometime.

You can source your own crown at ebay, TD, other RWI members and he will install that for you.
