You know the most important factor here is cost. Depending on the configuration, This could be the most expensive rep anyone has ever seen. And I don't mean in fake Chinese..'ooh Hublot cost much much money' costs either.

I am bumping this up because I'm still banging around some ideas here.

Here's where I am. I have gotten some watches in and been messing around with some combinations . I am leaning back and forth between several options but I am a little torn. There's so many things to consider from parts availability to color combinations and long term durability. That's why your input is important.

Here are examples of what is running through my head. Some like chronos some don't. If I do a chrono should it be a 7750? Well that would have a stopwatch which some don't like, some don't understand and certainly almost no one will ever use. So that leads me to an Asian vrersion. Well then I have to rework the gearing and make sure the finished dial registers match the funstion. We'd be talking about a functional watch though that would track more useful things like date and month. And it would certainly be more dependable and easier to service.

But then I think about eliminating it altogether and just going with a standard dial. If I go automatic, what kind? Should I spend the extra money and go with a high end movement? Well that would only drive the cost up and not necessarily result in a better watch regardless of what you hear. The tried and true 2813 (aka 21J) would certainly be better in many respects.

Or maybe I should just throw it all out the window and go quartz. 8)

Well that all goes back to the configuration. I don't really want to make any money. Just cover costs. The thingto consider is this. It needs to be available to everyone. If it ends up too high end some won't be able to afford it.

I'll tell you fake I think something non-chrono to keep it accessible. I have no problem with 21j movements. I have had some good ones.

My two cents...

Rolex - been done.
Pam - been done.

How about something unexpected like a Nautilus?
