RWI, what a godsend for anyone wishing to learn more about reps and how they have come such a long way in emulating the quality of luxury watches mostly beyond the reach of the common man!
My passion for horology was kindled thanks to a YT short a few months ago showing the full tear-down and servicing of a Rolex movement. The rest is history, as they say. I'm here to learn, observe, join in debates and maybe even take on a few projects myself.
On a more personal note, today's younger generation check their phones every couple of minutes or so for incoming social media posts. I check my phone maybe twice a day, but my Swiss watch probably every half hour and never cease to be amazed at how accurately it keeps time. I am now in the process of building up the necessary knowledge to make my first rep acquisition. Not easy, as there's no such thing as the perfect rep. But that's what's so great about this hobby. It makes the whole process of acquiring a watch a lot more involved and interesting.
