KJ Great info on keyless reset- I had seen that but forgot, so must test that out sometime soon.

Here are a few pictures. I angled the last one to show the surface finish on the main dial.

That's great work bro, well done.

You can use some white stickers to replace the minute tics if you have the patience and the dexterity. It's tedious and painstaking but the result will be much cleaner than trying to paint them back on.

Add dial stickers and minute tics

Here are a couple examples.

I accidentally scraped a longer minute tic clean off this dial in a bizarre tool accident under magnification. In nearly all lighting conditions it's impossible to identify the replacement sticker.

Practice your luming (a lot) on some free markers. Use a more runny mix so it will self level easily. And try not to allow overspill onto the surrounding ledges. If you do, wipe it off before it dries. That's a whole other topic, but just some quick tips if you haven't done much lume work, I didn't know.

Luke warm water with a drop of dish soap.
Nothing more violent than that.
That is true, maybe I was lucky as I can imagine some dials not being salvageable. I didn't want to scrape too much on the right side even though it was tempting. The soapy water really helped.

Excellent tips - I will read and digest, I was also wondering whether to paint over the dirt on the bottom right, and maybe then add the new markers there. Rather than try to get back to the original paint.

As much as the whole dial surface is textured, I think I would try to darken and blend the places that stand out. I've used Testor's Enamel a lot and I think a thinned mix (in a little ceramic bowl to dip from) could be added to those places easily enough. Let the mix run to the limits of the spaces in a capillary fashion. Fill only to the limit of running over, then let the thinner evaporate out. I would use Gloss Black. Do it in stages, it might take 3 or even 4 to blend it in.

This case should work

@trash3939 has made several 14060 builds using it

You need to buy two but you should be able to resell one easily.
Yes,

I have assembled 14060 in this case from Aribaba.
The dial I used was from Raffles and was 28.5mm.
The rehaut opening is 26.8 mm.

The GEN14060 dial is 26.7mm so it is smaller than the opening.

I don't think a sillan case would fit this dial.

Yes, and thankyou. Once I got passed the main logos I was encouraged and enjoyed the few hours of cleaning. Quite relaxing! I did like the colour of the rusty lume but it was too much for this type of dial, although I might go for something slightly off-white later, will see.

I also agree with your previous comments about finding a case which suits this dial. I already have such a build (need to get a picture of it) using a rafflesdial and have this horrible feeling that this dial will be too small for it. I will test this dial in some other cases soon before taking out the movement from the one I want to put it in and checking that.
I assembled 14060 using a GEN 14060 dial (26.7mm).

I looked for various cases but could not find a good one on the market.

I asked Bi vinarg to make a 14060 case for me.

You are right, the small size of the 14060 gen dial means that I don't think it will fit in the case I had planned (an old noobmariner 16610 with drilled lugs). Currently it houses a raffles T<25 dial which fits perfectly, and actually looks pretty good. The bezel insert is smaller than gen 16610 (I had to shave one and put a gen cracked pip in it) but not as small as a gen 14060 insert. I had really hoped to fit this dial in there but I don't think it will work. What a shame.

Since I have a gen insert (pics later) then maybe I should make the lume match the pip and see if a suitable case turns up at some point. Maybe it is possible to get viet cases in that size?

Here is the current noobmariner, the shape isn't quite right but based on its age its "not bad".
