It has the same flaws as all the others AP ROO sec@12
the only obvious flaw is the datewindow is not aligned with 2 and 4

the rep hornback strap is made fom rubber.

So the second should be @ 12? or 9?

Also, how synch should the date window be with 2 and 4 hour markers? Thanks much.

I'm also looking at getting white or silver themes ROO. For your questions @9, @12, etc... I read this and was able to educate myself easily enough:

http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/ap-roo-beginners-guide-68503

Q: What level of quality should I choose? There are so many with a different price?
A: Sec@9 is nice but with a major flaw, there are no gen ROO´s with a sec@9.
The real deal only got sec@12.
However, make sure to ask our own AP nut deloriandmc for some alternatives
and make sure to checkout Guru´s awesome AP mod projects.

Q: Great! Anything I should know about the sec@12 movement?
A: Old versions is pretty well know to have a jerky second hand due to the fact that the factory didn´t do a proper job with the extra gear needed to get the sec@12 look, 7750 movements doesn´t support sec@12 native due to it´s construction unless you mod it properly.
So sooner then later it will cause trouble for most owners.
New versions the dealers say is fixed, lots of people say it´s not fixed keep that in mind.

Nice, thanks! Now my only concern here is how misaligned is the rep date window with the 2 and 4 hour markers as compared to the gen?

To me the most obvious flaw on any steel bezel Roo is how the screws sit flush in the bezel. No obvious gaps around the 6 sides of the hex head. You can argue the date window, placement of the date window to the inner ring, dial color ect. But those damn hex screws seem to be magnified if not aligned big time.
Panda is one of my favorites, you won`t be disappointed.

Thanks guru, I read it. Seems there is a perennial trouble on seconds @ 12. Now i'm torn between this and a Hublot V6...

Most newer versions of the ROO sec@12 have the extra jewel, which typically fixes the known issue with the sec@12. However, it's still a hit and miss for reps.. Honestly, I would just go for both :) But if you want to get only one and you have a fixed budget, get the V6. Basically you don't have to do anything to the V6 (except for maybe AR if you're that pedantic about the purple tint). For the ROO, you would have to invest more in AR, lume and a gen/OEM hornback. The rep hornback is s***, rubber is pretty ok.

The rubber chrono pushers on the ROO are also a very small tell.

I'm a little confused on why everyone bashes the rep horn back, though. Or maybe I'm missing something? Doesn't seem like mine is made from rubber, smells like leather. Is it so bad that it's a major tell?

Thanks audace. That's a great help post. I only have a budget for one so gotta hit the mark right. ;)

Funny, we over at Breitling forum wanna change the blue AR to purple but over here it's the other way around. I hope the manufacturers just exchange their production process on these reps.

I actually like the look of the AP silver themes than the HBB. But if it will be a headache in the near future, I'm ok with the v6.
