Hi dear RWI community,

Recently, PURETIMEWATCH presented on its shop the GMT MASTER 6542 RBF A2836 V2.

I would like to ask you what you think, is it a real good deal, I would like to have your opinion Thank you

Looks rather nice. I’m not sure about the slightly “icy” looking finish to the lume.

It’s interesting to see a factory name linked to this one. The “not cartel” GMTs being offered previously by TS-Station/VintagePower - and recently by Trusty - never had a factory attribution, as far as I’m aware.

These versions that are “hand aged” do seem rather premium priced at nearly $500, but I guess that’s sort of okay if you don’t want to do any dial/hand ageing. For comparison, I just got a 6542 by BP from M (Marvellous Replica), which I bought new less than a month ago for $240 including shipping. Coincidentally it’s been worn today and is currently in bits so I can brass the bezel and repaint the insert.

GMT Master ref 6542 by JRF v2
I thought it felt vaguely familiar. I even checked through the forum to find the thread. The completely different factory name threw me off the scent!
