Hi there am new to the forum but am having issues with a Rolex Seadweller rep that I have owned for some time now.
It is fully functioning but I am unable to adjust the time on it as when I unscrew the crown it just falls off. I am not entirely sure what it is meant to do but I believe it should pop halfway out and allow the date and time to be set.
I will upload some pictures but if people have any idea what I can do to fix this or if I am just being an idiot that'd be great.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

your not being an idiot, the crown should be attached to the stem. I think your going to have to take the back off and see if the stem is broken??

You've owned it "for some time" and you don't even know how the crown and stem are supposed to work? I find that strange. lol

I think we might need a picture to see if the stem is broken, unscrewed or the whole crown/stem is coming out.

I am sorry you find that strange but that is the case, I have owned it for around 6 years but never worn it due to being quite young and not being very comfortable wearing, what looks like, a rolex on a daily basis. I have just got into watches now owning a lovely budget Seiko SNZH57 automatic and starting to appreciate them a lot more. I would like to get this watch to a condition where I can use it and at the very least understand what it is and if the movement/parts are all just crap or if there is anything good in there.

I have uploaded some pictures but the post seems to not have been moderated yet for some reason, any advice on how to get them up would be great.

Upload the pics to an image host, like photobucket or imgur, and post the links here

take the back off, release the old stem, purchase and fit new stem.
that's what to do but you may have to cut the stem down?
sure someone with more experience will help, what's the movement?

The hardest part is going to be getting that little piece of stem out of the crown. Hopefully you can get ahold of it with some sidecutters or somthing.

You might have to replace the crown too.

Is there somebody on here who I could send it away to for a bit of a look over, waterproofing and fix the crown and stem?
