In about a month Watches and Wonders will officially showcase the brands new issues for 2024. As usual, there's a lot of speculation about what Rolex will bring us. I selected for fun a few pics of discussed models, not everything though (there's weird shit out there...).

Hottest: GMT Master

Fair odds: Milgauss

Subs:

Daytona:

Explorer:

A nice comeback: Turn-o-graph

What do you think? What would you like to see from Rolex? How do you think they will go about it? Will they surprise us with something completely new (new? Rolex? I know, I know...) or will they just play with materials (Titanium) and do minimal changes to already existing designs?
Let's hear it.

I thought the Milgauss had been permanently discontinued (that dive Milgauss mock up is awful lol).

A new Turn-o-graph would be very nice. But again, not like those mock ups. That insert... ugh.

I thought so, too, but found more speculation about the Milgauss than anything else (except the GMT master). The dive Milgauss is awful, but you can find even worse stuff on the internet, colorways you'd never imagine...

I'd also like the idea of a new Turn-o-graph although the mock-ups are too simplistic to me, would be a letdown if it was just a DJ with a bezel insert, its origin was steel and tooly and was later redesigned to a more elegant version. I also have to wonder what "gap" in Rolex's lineup a Turn-o-graph would fill, a sportier DJ? Something between a DJ and the explorer? Uhmmmm. In any case, I don't see it with the Milgauss, either a new Turn-o-graph or a new Milgauss.
I also learned that the Turn-o-graph was not the first Rolex with a rotating bezel, as I thought, there was a Zerograph and a Centregraph, launched 1937 these were one-pusher chronographs which mounted in-house movements. All new to me.

I was also completely unaware of those models till today... Thanks for sharing the find.

The radium burns on the dial where the hands sat immobile for years at 8.20 are something else!

based on historical trends, your predictions are too ambitious for what they'll actually come out with.
its going to be a lot of parts bin recycling.
your first GMT is highly likely. i dont know about the coke bezel.

they're probably going to introduce more titanium stuff. maybe a titanium explorer. A titanium sub would look exactly like the YM

It's not "my" predictions, it's what's being speculated by the self-proclaimed, you-tube-age watch community. I see it exactly like you, a new GMT (hoping for the coke), some titanium for the novelty and little more. I don't believe in a new Milgauss, but that's what (to my surprise) came up quite often in a very cursory and simple internet search. Reviving the Turn-o-graph would be a pleasant surprise, depending on the outcome.

I think that COKE bezel is due a return.
But if the problems with the pepsi are to be believed, then it may prove a stretch to produce the coke equivalent.

I think that the use of Ti might be be what we see.

And the odd ROlex curveball....

Love a Turnograph!!

The Japanese have some wild expectations...
And they seem to be particularly keen on a new Milgauss

I'm not too fond on any of the predictions, but a new Turn-o-graph would be a welcome addition to the lineup.

I’d love to see a re-imagined Milgauss. Unfortunately, I believe why it was discontinued and unlikely made again is that rolex developed their game-changing Parachrom Bleu hairspring making all their movements paramagnetic — the Milgauss’s claim to fame 😉

We're not getting new ceramic bezel colors outside coke maybe.

Daytonas won't have a new style at all, just new 126 versions of older models. I wish they'd bring back the racing numerals dials though, but I doubt it.

The white sub could happen IMO because omega released a white speedy, both are classic black watches, but I'm still doubting it. The red bezel ain't happening either since Tudor has it.

Replica oblivion…
Something fresh and very “tooly”
A bespoke engineered field watch to take them back to their roots. Something like an Airking x Milgaus x Explorer. Whack in some tritium tubes with a super engineered adjustable on the fly bracelet in a 40 - 41 mm case and call it the Explorer King. Wishful thinking….. much.
