It's a super logical move for them today

It's "more gold, a lot more" in a very "in your face" way...totally on "current" brand

I think it's a real bonafide genuine INVESTMENT piece... just because of the way Gold prices appreciates

this Full Gold Deepsea will appreciate in price because of the gold and rolex combination..

now that I think about it.. I am even less shocked at the way people are desiring this.. everywhere I read today it's the #1 watch out of the entire watch and wonders event

Forgot who here on rwi mentioned it but it kinda supports theories like that

that basically, Rolex is moving on to like you said, "higher end market" or even more of a Luxury Brand and at the same time boosting Tudor as the regular everyone watch brand

if you think about it.. Tudor's releases are making huge huge waves whereas Rolex's releases are specifically ALL PRECIOUS METALS (save for 1) .. and I wonder.. I truly wonder

do people just sign up for these year long waiting lists -.- at the end of the day there's no price to sign up and put your name down for one even if you have no realistic chance or even desire to get one

anyways, makes me think.. lol

I’d rather buy an ounce or ten of gold and a bunch of reps.

The good news is once you dive down a bit, it wouldn’t wear as heavy, probably wears real nice a few hundred feet under water

I never do with any rep. I have my diver watches just for swimming if needed. But usually I just go without one. When you are swimming time is not important, just have fun lol.

I prefer the Gold Deepsea to other Rolex all golds, I think it may be the blue detailing.

I have a 2 T Black Sub, it's OK but it doesn't do it for me like my Bluesy did

LOL, I certainly wouldn't buy a Gen, could probably just about afford to outta my hobbies a/c, but then I wouldn't be able to buy as many Reps, or finish off a couple of the ongoing Car builds as quickly as I would like.
My own personal view is Rolex are too expensive for what they are, but I understand why, i.e. the (Dave word coming up) "Eliteness"

I would like one all gold in my collection later on, so if a rep of the Gold / Bluesy Deepsea comes out I will likely buy it as a shelf queen, perhaps just worn on very very rare occasions to preserve the plating.

It's nice but it doesn't do it for me like that new Deepsea Bluesy

My OCD tells me that the Rolex Shelf, (9 slots) needs an all gold in the centre spot and a couple of 2T's either side of 'em.
Since I already have well over 9 Rollies, there will now have to be two shelves, which likely means that 45 watches won't be the limit, probably another cabinet will be needed

Yes, that is also why I need another Daytona and one more Yacht Master, the list just keeps getting bigger ........

Oh and I also need another Turntable and Glass Bell as I decided that my Deepsea Challenge Rolex vs Omega special display with the whole story framed, (which is going underneath the main cabinet), well, ya's see it just won't be complete without the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Ultra Deep that went down with Victor Vescovo included in the display next to the Rolex DSC
