A TT DJ got run over by a tank, flattened the bracelet, and left honeycomb-like track marks on the dial...

Nah, just kidding. It was way worse than that... XD
Still, cool to see the newly cloned 7135. Is it a full clone or just a cosmetic one? Does it come with the ceramic balance staff?
never say never... anyway, probably we might get a clone 7135 before Speedy is correctly clonedIt's fake miyota deco plate, the universe will die a heat death before the 7135 is cloned at a reasonable price

It's fine. I'm fine.![]()
Always beating on Rolex, all of you lot!
Now leave away the pricing and the marketing, personal taste and the disappointment this issue caused - by YOUR expectations, mind you - what did other brands offer at Watches and Wonders?
The TAG F1?

A 2000$ plastic toy watch!
Panerai? New movements and new measurements!!!!! ....of the same watches.
Moser & Cie? Oh wow, new young colourways no youngster will ever be able to afford!
Tudor? Oh wow! New colors and measurements of the same watches....
Grand Seiko? Oh, great! Another.... differently textured dial....
IWC? Oh wow... ok, same as the others...colors, blah blah...
etc..
At least Rolex tried to resurrect a blast from the past. Admittedly, I prefer Cartier's Tank à Guichets and the Zenith G.F.J. is a cool thing, but not much in terms of design (not-so-novel) "novelty".
The so much hated honeycomb dial can be seen as an evolution of the textured DJ dials mixed with the mainstream touch of the relief motifs like AP, IWC etc. I liked the DJ version better.

The name, I bet we'll soon get over it and a year from now nobody will talk about it anymore.
This watch is a bit of a letdown, but it's the biggest strecth, design-wise, at Watches and Wonders. And don't forget, it's a first issue, I have high hopes for next years' variations. Come on, not even ZF gets first issues right![]()
In Italy they say "Chi disprezza, compra", it's a variation of the sour grapes proverb, literally translating in "Those who despise, will buy".
If the just change the dial, a more subdued surface finishing and eliminate the numerals for simple markers, I will buy it.
Didn't they debut the UFA 9RB2 movement? +-20 seconds annually/+- 3 seconds/month. The accuracy made me drool just from a tech standpoint.Grand Seiko? Oh, great! Another.... differently textured dial....
Not talking about tech, there was interesting stuff in that field.Didn't they debut the UFA 9RB2 movement? +-20 seconds annually/+- 3 seconds/month. The accuracy made me drool just from a tech standpoint.
And I'm with you. I like the backdrop, the canvas, I don't like how it'S been put to scene. Now it sounds like just because I don’t like the new Rolex, I’m automatically a hater...
I don’t like it simply because it (the land dweller) goes against my aesthetic, nothing more. Same thing I’ve been saying about the YM for years — still don’t like it, even if it’s somehow considered “mainstream” now. But no, I don’t hate Rolex. Not at all.
I couldn’t agree more.Honeycomb dial is crap? Maybe, but better try and fail than relax on the usual teak/teal dials.
The numerals are crap? Yes. I have no defence for those. They have no place on that kind of watch imo, not styled that way, just too sporty.
I don't mind jubilees per se, but I replaced all of them with oysters (DJ and GMT master). I like the more sporty look. The jubilees are simply too glittery, but I don't mind the pattern.I couldn’t agree more.
But for me, the issue is even bigger with jubilee-style bracelets — whether rounded or flattened. I’m not seriously trypophobic, but I’m definitely leaning that way. I just can’t stand anything tiny and overly patterned, like monograms or jubilee bracelets. The IWC Chrono might be the only watch I own with that kind of 5-column bracelet.
I've always wanted to try a jubilee, but haven't. The "glittery" part here that makes me dislike fluted bezels on DJs.I don't mind jubilees per se, but I replaced all of them with oysters (DJ and GMT master). I like the more sporty look. I'd say yes, no substantial difference to oyster, if at all, they're more "flexible". Maybe even a slight plus on comfort.I've always wanted to try a jubilee, but haven't. The "glittery" part here that makes me dislike fluted bezels on DJs.
Are jubilee bracelets comfortable though?
The smooth bezel on that watch is a game changer. To me, it looks so much nicer and is more adaptable with different clothing options. My fluted/jubilee DJ became a smooth/oyster
The less hair on your wrist, the better. Just imagine — on an Oyster bracelet, you’ve got three “hair pluckers” per row. On a Jubilee, it’s five of them giving you a full Brazilian… without the wax.I've always wanted to try a jubilee, but haven't. The "glittery" part here that makes me dislike fluted bezels on DJs.
