Hi! Just piggybacking this thread as I've been extensively looking into purchasing a GMT Master ii. The one gareth mentioned is the one that has been sitting in my cart for about a week now. I know to avoid CHS so will be doing that. My question I have is regarding the DJ factory. What makes the DJ factory priced higher compared to the noob v8? I've tried googleing but most of the discussion for DJ factory were the datejust.

Thanks in advance!

I think what you mentioned is the BLRO GMT from DJ F. It has the real ceramic bezel insert rather than other BLROs from other factories. That's why it costs more :)

BK recommends this watch highly, but all the threads seem to think movement is a timebomb...

Is it good? Or bad?

You can start with ICHS version. The movement will be more reliable:)

I believe posting this in the Rolex sub-forum will get you the best answer.

I see your join date is new but maybe you are from other forums, you can easily find the answers to your questions on the forums and please make good use of the search function, and there are a lot of members are willing to help you.

My version of your answer will be:
1. You really need to bothered about the factory, there are many new factories making "1:1" and "904" replicas but actually they are not, so for less hassles you may want to get your Rolex replicas from ARF(JF) or Noob, there are also other Rolex makers like BP, VRF, etc, they also make good quality watches but not as good as ARF/Noob.
2. Correct hand stack and Swiss movement is a contradiction, and if someone is selling you a 116710LN with Swiss movement and I suggest you to be real careful since ARF/Noob do not supply replicas in Swiss movement anymore, if you are not a pro and I do not suggest you to buy any replicas with so-called Swiss movements.
3. Correct hand stack is a time bomb and you should avoid any movements with correct hand stack modifications.
4. There is not any 116710LN with 904L (at least real 904L) in the market, so if there is anyone selling a 904L 116710LN to you, be careful.
5. Identical case, the case can never be identical if you are not using a cloned movement, all the 116710LN replicas available at the moment use modified Asian 2836 clone movement, some uses the Asian parts to modify an ETA-2836 movement but the stability is uncertain.
6. You really need to read more before posting, I did post about the ARF is working on the SH3187 clone movement and it will solve all the problems above, but they have postponed the release date to 2019 and please expect it around March or April the soonest.

Again this is my version of the answer and you will find other versions of answer if you post on the Rolex sub-forum and I really recommend you re-post in that sub-forum, good luck with the 116710LN hunting ;)

I am totally confused reagarding the GMT II. “purtime” writes (see quote) there is no 11670LN with 904L in the market and to be careful when someone’s selling it yet I see it advertised on his site. https://puretime.io/watch-brands/ro...ob-best-edition-a3187-correct-hand-stack.html.

Friend, please check the date we post that. It was 12-09-18. The 904 version was recently released on 01-10-19

Hello all, first post, so please be easy on me. I have done a lot of reading on here over the last few weeks and had mixed responses from dealers too, even thought I am aware that nothing is usually quick in this hobby!

I know it may be early days, but I am interested in expert opinions on if the new A3187 CHS movement https://puretime.io/gmt-master-ii-11...and-stack.html in the Batman is (or will be) as reliable as the ICHS A2836 https://puretime.io/gmt-master-ii-11...-a2836-v8.html movement. Don't really want to spend the additional $170 to shortly end up with a paperweight! The additional $ is, I am guessing, more of a premium for the CHS, or is this justified for other reasons??

Other than that it is tricky to see the differences in the 2 versions other than 904L steel and the blue colours look different, but that may be just the photography of course! Both have the independently adjustable hour hand, which I need. (I really wanted a YM2, but nobody has a working regatta hand )

Really appreciate your opinions - thank you.

CHS A3187 is not that stable as ICHS A2836. ARF will release a new SH3187 which should fix this issue. You may wait and get this instead . It is expected to release on March or
April as mentioned in previous posts.

Thank you. I did read that, but wasn't sure of the difference between the SH3187 and the A3187. I will wait for a while and see when this comes out. Thank you again.

Thanks Angus. Still waiting for this, but in the meantime I've ordered a new DeepSea :), but struggling for the payment to go through after 5 attempts with 2 different cards. My banks say not a problem, so have written to your sales about it, so hopefully they can fix it.
