Hello, new here and not sure if I've posted in the right section..

I purchased a Rolex Daytona from pure in time after reading all the great reviews on this forum.

I've had it a week and it's already stopped telling the time... Completely stopped, even when manually wound it won't tell the time.

Anyone else had this problem?

Thanks

How many times do you wind it?

More information would help us help you...Does it manually wind? What is the movement? Maker? Remember pure time is the dealer, not the manufacturer. The spotty information provided will not lead to a solution.

Wind it about 20 times. I've actually managed to get it working after pressing the stop and start button above the crown a few times.. but it doesn't keep time anymore and as soon as I take it off it stops... Or if I don't move much..

Thank you for your reply. ^ this is the watch I bought. Does that give you the information? I read up on the A7750 and it seemed like a pretty good movement! May just have got a duff one..

I have managed to get it working.. eventually.. I wound the manual wind about 20 times and repeatedly pressed the stop start button above the crown and got it moving..

But now it always stops of I stop moving and stops immediately when I take it off.

Thanks

The Daytona Seconds at 6 is overall a problem prone movement. The base A7750 is a good solid reliable movement, but the modifier module can suffer from one of several potential issues. First, the older ones were not jeweled, leading to more resistance and stress on the movement. This has mostly been taken care of as the newer ones typically come jeweled. The problems that remain are first, the movement often comes quite dirty and under/over oiled. Second and more importantly, there are inconsistencies in the machining which can lead to issues like the gear train slipping. I personally would send it out for a service and you should be good for several years at least. I had mine serviced as a preventive measure and based on the information I received back from the watchsmith (G from 14060 or 16610?watch repair) I'm very glad I did.

Here's a good overview article discussing the movement from a few years ago.
