It's true, the factory didn't want to increase costs to improve the quality of the box! They think that most people don't care too much about the quality of the boxes.No.. you got this wrong. The factory that makes dials does not produce boxes, neither does the factory that produces movements or the factory that produces hands or gaskets or cyrstals.. each component comes from a different factory and the watches are assembled from this collection of parts that arrive from the various factories.
The factory that produces the boxes makes boxes and packaging, that's all they will do. Even then the plastic green box and the outer card box are probably made in separate factories too. All that is required is for someone to care and place an order for a better quality box costing £0.50p that they can sell for $100 instead of the cheap one costing £0.02.
