I had a screw fall out of my 41mm Oyster Perpetual's clasp, can anyone tell me the specs to order another?

I can't use a spare bracelet screw as it's smaller and doesn't show on the other side. I've searched and searched for specs but can't seem to find the right one.

Didn't the watch fall off you guys' wrist at the same moment the screw came out?

It's an obvious question, but no chance at finding the screw? I've found some internal movement components that were so small and bounced so far away that I should have won an award
Just saying.

It happened in a large queue of hundreds, if not thousands, of people at border control. I searched the floor a bit but then it was time to walk on.

I tripped over SimplyLemonade as I did, he was on the floor looking for something, no idea what 😆

Lolol that sucks!!! Couldn't have been at home???

Would have driven me up the wall.

Have found any posts on the internet mentioning the size of this? I'll take a look if you know the dimensions.

**edit** if you don't know I'll measure mine.

I just happen to be working on a couple of CLEAN OP41s. Rolex link screws have 3 measurements - length, diameter and tap (thread diameter).

It's useful to buy an assortment of link screws if you're going to be in the game awhile.

I measured the clasp screw in question as shown below. The closest match is an S14, with dimensions shown

It fits and the threads work. It's a tad long. You can live with it or sand down the slotted head.

I've sanded a good number of link screws, even the barrel diameter. The S14 screw barrel is a tiny bit too thick to fully seat in the thread recess so sanding that down may allow it to seat fully. You can put a link in a pin vise, clamp it to a bench and sand the barrel with a narrow strip of sandpaper like a shoeshine cloth on a shoe. Takes only a few minutes, just the thread end of the barrel needs a tiny bit of thinning.

It's a good idea to check link screw tightness periodically. Even better to remove them all, add blue loctite, and reseat them tightly. I don't do this enough, I had a rep fall off my wrist a few months ago while sitting at my computer. Luckily there's a small area rug below the chair - it was completely unharmed, whew.

More wonderful information sir thank you!

Only one I ever recall failing on me a was an old model noob daytona, again, a pin backing out, it crashed from waist height or higher onto concrete.

Miraculously, sustained zero scratches or scuffs somehow, and even better the movement continued to run flawlessly and never had an issue.

That is great information, thank you so much for taking the time and replying with really good images. I've taken your advice and bought the same set you have to get the screw, and a few spares. Hopefully it'll be back on my wrist soon!

And thanks to ward1991 for offering to measure theirs. Everyone is really helpful.

I now have wearable watch again thanks to KJ2020 who went over and above getting the screw, accurately measuring it and suggesting a replacement! I got the exact same set of screws from Aliexpress :) Many, many thanks.
