Justin, have you done any comparisons for the RM055? I was gonna get a APSF and went with the latest ZF last minute because I noticed higher quality finish all around.
@Justin TK Not tryna rush or anything but any more updates and whole watch photos of the APS RM35-02?Dang, need to see the price but this is gotta be a great first RM for me. Need to know when this is released.
They still look okay to me.Hey Justin, looks like your picture links are broken.
Not yet, no factory has bought a genuine one for comparison so far.Justin, have you done any comparisons for the RM055? I was gonna get a APSF and went with the latest ZF last minute because I noticed higher quality finish all around.
APSF mentioned there will be a slight delay, so let’s stay patient and wait a little longer.Dang, need to see the price but this is gotta be a great first RM for me. Need to know when this is released.
I’m so excited about the final product that I even dream at night I’m already wearing it!@Justin TK Not tryna rush or anything but any more updates and whole watch photos of the APS RM35-02?
Dying to know as well![]()
It's OK to me... can you check once more?Hey Justin, looks like your picture links are broken.
Sorry in advance — am late comer to this thread.I’m so excited about the final product that I even dream at night I’m already wearing it!![]()
This thread is about the RM35-02 not the 55.Sorry in advance — am late comer to this thread.
My TD’s have both ZF and APSF RM055’s available. Looking at closeups, pic comparisons, both look adequate and passable, no?
People in this thread seem to be more hopeful about the APSF’s than the ZF? Why? Aren’t both new?
Any obvious flaws in the ZF version that seem to be addressed in APSF’s?
Apologies for the dumb questions
I feel sad.. my 35-02 from ZF it’s on the way and I’ve just seen this![]()
The watch hands are also very well made, with the same length and shape as the original.

The movement is still a prototype; the large gears haven’t been sandblasted yet.
The main point is to compare the structure and shape.
The ribs’ sandblasting is already done very well, so there’s no need to wait for a v3 upgrade.

This photo shows the movement’s balance wheel.
This prototype hasn’t had its decoration finished yet.

The last two photos are of another movement prototype.
It has been decorated and polished, but the balance wheel is missing.

Before, there wasn’t a truly 1:1 clasp on the market. They all started by copying from pictures and gradually improved through customer feedback.
APSF did an excellent job on the clasp this time. At first glance, it might seem very similar, but the really impressive details are yet to come.

The clasp’s structure and shape have been perfectly replicated, and the edge polishing curvature, as well as the opening and spring-back tension, are all done exceptionally well.

The clasp’s spring-back mechanism is made exactly the same, and its parts can even be interchanged with the original’s components.

This is what I personally think is the most impressive part — the clasp welding seams. It’s done extremely well…
Everyone, please pay attention to the welding seams and polishing on the edges. This is the best RM clasp I’ve ever seen.

The strap comparison shows that the same fluoro rubber material is used, and the texture and firmness feel almost identical to the original.

![]()
The strap’s perforations and structure have been replicated exactly.
The flexibility when folding the strap is just like the original.

The endlinks’ openings, thickness, and structure are identical to the original.![]()
The straps are fully interchangeable with the original ones.
That’s the full content of this comparison.
Once the final movement sample is ready, I’ll reassemble everything and take photos of the complete watch for a full comparison.
