Just received my QC of a RM055 Yas Marina Circuit.
The color looks off, isn’t the Yas Marina version supposed to be turqoise and not blue or are there two versions?

Also, does someone know where I can get a velcro strap (black or whatever) to replace the rubber strap and is it difficult to replace it? Thanks.

Any shots of the back? I'm interested in how they seemingly moved the rear balance wheel. And your case notch is on the correct side!

Still don't know why they changed the front deco, the movement sticking out between 6-9 is different than the white ZF.

Yas Marina colours is a little lighter and turqouise-y to my eye, this looks more like the Yas Marina Blue that BMW has on the M cars. Technically there's the colour the circuit has on the runoffs and there's the BMW colour which aren't quite the same despite having the same name.

Lol there's a loaded question. All things considered, the case shape is pretty good, the proportions are pretty good, the deco/movement is obviously not gen but none of them are particularly good in that regard outside of the tourbillons. Is it a solid watch? Yeah, it does look to be pretty good. Is it close to gen? Not really, but no RM is. It's the right size and almost the right proportions, and it probably wears much like the gen, but you're not going to fool anyone who knows RMs with it ever.

I want this variant but I'm personally going to wait until they show up m2m or they make a v2 to buy one for myself. I would prefer to see the deco from the white ZF in this case instead of what they're using now.

May I ask which TD did you order from?

I ordered from intime a week ago, and still didn't get my QC image. They told me it will be delay due to the raid...

By “knows RMs” you mean actual gen owners? Otherwise the only people we would be unable to fool are other people repping like ourselves

I will add that the case is nice, comes in at less than 13mm, original being 12mm, so in terms of thinnest and closest to genuine dimensions, this is it. The AR on the glass is superb, and the deco is tastefully executed. Again, this watch isn’t mean to fool anyone, but is meant to be worn close to the wrist and enjoyed.

I mean anyone who knows anything about an RM for any reason (or even someone who doesn't) could easily see the differences between this watch and a gen in a side-by-side picture. There's an entire movement in the rep that's just not there in the gen, it's not some subtlety like rounded hour markers on a Rolex or similar.

That said, without having one side by side with a gen, only watch people would potentially notice, and repfam are a subset of watch people. Most people just don't care enough.

Also I laugh at myself swearing off buying one, since I'm wearing my own YM right now...

I think anyone trying to pull off a watch worth 800k+ as gen is a fool anyway lmao

I'm just hopeful for more RM reps of this caliber, the NTPT carbon is so great and the dimensions are almost gen-like.
