Just a repost of this picture and I'll add the 3186 Caliber picture, hope we can get a good examination so we can determine if this is an "Asian 3186" which would mean an Asian made 3186 movement, not a different movement branded as something else.

So, would you buy an Asian 2836 movement if it...... had nothing to do with a 2836?
Cuz that is what we have here. The excuse that this is really a 2836 is pointless, it is advertised as an Asian 3186 Caliber, so it should be virtually the exact same as a Rolex 3186 Caliber Movement, and it is not!

It's a total rip off! Advertisement MUST be corrected! imo..

all of the dealers are listing it the same way. even our trusted ones that have it. are they that oblivious? are they just taking the manufactures word for it?

best swiss caters to people who dont know better. but our dealers,trusted, and those others should know that we will pick this apart, and yet they still do it. why? most of our dealers dont sell off the boards much, so why dont they just say "extra decorated asian eta"? and charge a little more. honesty can go a long way. but to bring this to us calling it an asian rollie movement is just stupid. do they really think we'll fall for it?

Yup. it would be much easier to pass off to a pawnshop or an uneducated buyer.

But what about the lying? Its NOT a 3186 copy, at all. And ALL of the dealers who have it are describing it like it is.

Bingo Coopers! It doesn't even have the CHS or same GMT behavioral characteristics of the 3186. That, in itself, makes this one of the biggest lies that I have seen in our hobby. Me, I say, They are a lying sack of Monkey Shit stored under a chicken coop on a hot summer day! (no pun toward our coop )

Show me where these are listed on RWI and I will edit them until they prove me wrong. Go ahead, PM me the link and I will edit the advertisement, contact the dealer and have them change it.

I dont think they will change it. They never did change the B&R descriptions.
It will be business as usuall in a few days and we will have forgotten all about it.

Then a noob will buy one and post pics and be pissed that its not really a 3186 copy and get us all worked up for a few days.

Why dont they just COPY a 3186? They did it with the eta. It doesnt even have to have any Rolex engravings on it, but having a CHS reliable GMT would be great!

Right! Thats what I said as well. Just say "decorated asain eta", and dont charge so much! They are banking on the fact that they will sell a bunch at the higher price.
