After various periods of Gen and Rep I have just finished another period with Gen watches and now roll back into the Rep space again. However, every now and then you come across a Gen watch that does make a profound impact and the IWC IW 371808 is such a beautiful watch that makes a lasting impression.

Produced in a limited edition of just 1000 pieces (which by the way is something that IWC does every now and then with their St. Exupery and Petit Prince watches, The IW371808 Is a 44mm edition of the pilot model with a tobacco brown dial and the IWC double Chronograph complication with day and date. The watch is quite something special and its immediately clear this is not just any IWC watch, but a very special one. The hands are quite elegant, but not fragile. The numerals are made of a silver raised and white filled numbers. Again, very elegant and with an incredible finish. Although The elegant finish the watch is quite large, and present. By all means its a bad-ass looking watch.

I have much enjoyed my almost one year ownership of the watch and have been happy wearing it, which always led to a lot of compliments.

The IW371808 had an SRP of 12,400 Euro / USD and sometimes you can find an unused model for around 10-12k. Used models range from 7,5-10k.
