hello, I'm a beginner with the brand Breitling but 2 problems on my SOH2 from GF:
- very noisy rotor same a cheap version on 50$
- i find rehaut is very thick.
on the gen is it really thick?
we do not see on the photos because the angle of view is never the same.

Thanks

The rotar is luck of the draw, mine is not noticeable...you can remove the rotor and just manually wind if it is that much of an issue.

And yes rehaut is thick, plenty of gen photos out there to compare to.

Thanks,
for the rotor, I'm going to put a micro drop of fat in the roll, it is the balls that make noise.
to open the case, without the breitling tool, a tip?
I tried the silicone ball of my other unsuccessful watches ..

I use the silicone friction ball with no issues now, it can be tricky if it is not at the right pressure just YouTube it..I was terrible at it my first couple of goes!

After owning this for a while and flipping a number of other Breitlings that I didn't gel with the "problems" are negligible IMO

wrong pearl - maybe but only when you magnify it 5 x
font too bold - this refers to the dial print which I cannot see at all
date font - this is a little misleading, some of the numbers are slightly different eg the 8 is more square but should be slightly rounded in the middle, and I could only see this when you magnify it! Most of the numbers look good on the wrist.
noisie rotor - again generalising all watches with this is misleading, many report it as fine (like mine). This appears to be hit and miss.

Agreed, it's a fantastic rep.

Font is fine, and the numbers fill the window beautifully. Rotor noise is negligible on mine.

Under magnification, the pearl housing could be more pronounced, however in reality it's not an issue. The fact that we need to get microscopic about a minor detail just shows you how good this rep is!

Does the gen mesh taper 22 to 20?
I got a Staib, which is a great looking mesh, but not taper.

It's 22/18, I thought it might be a bit small looking but on the wrist it is fantastic and suits the watch beautifully!

I've been checking out the Staib mesh on the internet, for the price I think it is a great alternative to the gen

Got the Staib myself and now awaiting arrival of GF Superocean Heritage ll. It also look great on my Superocean Steelfish and PO reps, quality is superb for 1/4 the price of the Gen. [h=1][/h]
