I'm worried that may be not too easy to remove all the polish after the work...
Easy to remove. It's like liquid car wax. I just use a old cotton t-shirt to wipe with. It may have drying around the crevasses on the bracelet then I would just rinse it with water and use a soft toothbrush to remove it.

so, in the end, these are just to clean the bracelet, remove scratches and give smoothness...there isn't a real solution to improve the quality of the bracelet...without using our modders, of course..

I used to do the oil bath thing, now I scrub with a toothbrush and a little toothpaste, sonic clean with a small amount of anti bacterial soap, further sonic clean with just water and rince out all the soap. Then polish with Renaissance wax. It does not effect the brushing, will polish out small scratches and leaves a silky smooth feel. It also helps to protect against future scratches. It will do no long term damage to the steel as it has been specifically designed with no base or acid to protect precious metals. So you can use it every day if you like.

I reserve CC for shiny bits, but as said before if you go lightly on a brushed bracelet it can give a nice result.

Question from an ignorant person who just discovered ultrasonic cleaners are a cheap thing: is it used only for bracelets or can you "clean" the whole watch in it?

sent, me thinks

Do not put the watch head in an ultrasonic cleaner, unless you know for sure it's waterproof.

+1 for the Renaissance wax - I use it on all my watches, my guitars, ukuleles, wood furniture.

Use it on my rep MB pens, makes them look the business.

Even if waterproof it's not recommended as apparently displaces the oils

Hi guys!!

I would like to buy a cape cod cloth to use on my v7 116610ln....is it a good choice??? wouldn't the bracelet be too shiny after the treatment?? Or will it give more "gen" feeling to the watch??

Also, i've read that someone gave a "oil bath to the bracelet"...what does that mean? and what's the purpose of it?

Thanks!

the bracelet and brushed. if you use a cape cod you do is polish. not good for the bracelet

I just ordered some rust removing pads, in three grits. On WUS people use them for rebrushing. I'm going to experiment on a rep PO bracelet that's fully polished and go from there. But everyone else already touched on the CC :) good luck brother!

Oh, and the ultra sonic cleaner is awesome.. Cheap for the amount of work it does. I use it when taking apart and servicing movements :)

I think the advice will be don't... just live with it. You can cut through plating easier than you might realize.
