Good on you brother. I say brother, because we are brothers in spirit. We have two wonderful rescued cats and a rescued greyhound.
How people treat the defenseless in ALL forms is why I feel we have very far to go as a race. FWIW I wrote this on my FB page.
We really need to do a LOT better, to continue to earn the right to breathe.

By the way, it's best to get your little one vet checked, vaccinated and desexed. Nothing worse than falling in love, only to lose your heart and your pal.

This is the kind of stuff I like to see. Grown men acting like men. With a heart, and with kindness. I do rescues too, but as some know of quite a different kind.
This is a great story, and I'd like to know what you named the kitty. I was thinking Panny. I'm sure it's named by now though. Any updates?

We got our kitten directly from a high kill facility in Virginia. She was slated to be gassed the next day at 7 weeks old. She's now 5 months and a joy. Full of mischief and character. She was also deathly ill and we had to syringe-feed her for the first two weeks and keep her hydrated with an IV. Enjoy your new best friend
