Saw it first time today and I think it's absolutely beautiful. I don't see any reason that would stop makers to make a super rep of it and I'm sure it would sell well. Closed caseback, usual 7750/7753 layout, thick enough case to put 7753 into it so quick date change would work too. Pleaseee rep it!

Simply amazing watch and my favourite Omega from today. If we don't see a good rep of it, it's on my gen wish list for future. 1969 or 2014, doesn't matter. :)

What do you think?

Nice! If subdial spacing perhaps would be an issue with the typical rep chronograph movements, I'd love a quartz microstepper.

Seems there would be interest for it, hopefully we can sort something out.

Subdial spacing shouldn't be a problem like with Moonie as it looks like typical 7750/7753 spacing.

Subdial spacing is always an issue with the most common 1861 Speedmasters. No rep movement comes close. I don't know much about the newer Mk II and it's movement, but I'd imagine that accurately reproducing the sub spacing and the lumed tachymeter will be an obstacle. Super-rep probably won't happen due to difficulty and limited demand, but someone did post a link to a shitty quartz rep a while back.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. It was issue with old Speedmasters but shouldn't be with this one. I don't know much about it's movement either but just compare pictures below and you'll see it has potential.

This is the old Speedy where it's impossible to make good copy of it with 7750 because of the subdial spacing (although gen is handwinding but just for the comparison)

Left one is new Mark II, right one is 1969 Mark II. You can clearly see right one has the same impossible-to-rep subdial spacing but left one has the same spacing as all chrono watches we see in our rep market all of which are using 7750/7753 movements.

Just for the comparison, here is a rep Speedy with 7750 (not good one but shows what I want to point out):

I hope my observations are correct and that this watch has it's future in rep world. Fingers crossed! ;)

I assume it would be using the same movement as the 44.25mm Speedy - A few of us were trying to generate some interest in a rep of that a while back - http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php?t=178923&highlight=44.25mm

As you can see from the overlay and quick photoshop job, its not perfect, but not bad.

No offence guys but i think there would need to be pages of names, or tons of threads asking about it across all the forums before makers would take note... but no harm in trying :)

Maybe there isn't that big demand like for Bronzo or AP Schumi but it's for sure interesting watch and I'm sure many of people who aren't currently interested in it would buy one after they see pics of other members. Happened to me with both Bronzo and Schumi.
i see your point of view and I agree from one side. From the other side, take a look at this: http://www.pure-time.com/product/pr...erve-white-dial-on-brown-croco-leather-strap/

I think we can count people who will buy one of these with fingers of one hand. I don't see reason why they wouldn't rep a watch that would sell considerably better than many watches they are repping lately.

I would definitely get this one. I was bidding on a vintage one the other day but the price got a bit over my budget, so I'm hoping for a rep.
