I probably have 40 quartz reps, maybe more. Some are fantastic, some just OK. But none need to be wound. These are some favs.

There's also a mechaquartz movement in the Avenger 69. Gen of course.

I think there is a place for Quartz and a place for Mech in our collections 
My light hearted take on the debate :-
If you're in a hurry to naff off somewhere PDQ a watch without quick set date function is a PITA.
I have a fair few reps now. plus a couple of Gen quartz pieces and a "gen" quartz "Reginald" Submariner Homage, which is a real daily beater upper.
Poor old Reginald gets worn to work, gets scratched and clattered etc, and is now 4 years old and had 3 batteries , one per year. Reginald has often been mistaken for a real Rolex by uninitiated no nuffink cock wombles
One day i will find a good looking silly cheap Sub rep, and chuck Reginalds quartz guts in it, and wear that to work, fuck the sweeping seconds, it is wot it is .......... Oh, wait, I already have a silly cheap £59 Sub, so when I get a better Sub, I will re-allocate this one
If I had any issues, (watch related since I have plenty of other issues), then my issue is that some of my auto wind Mech watches don't have quick set date, and personally I don't like the idea of winders, because the sometimes sketchy rep movements will be wearing themselves out whilst not being worn day after day, month after month etc until the inevitable boing whee internal explosion occurs
So IMHO, any watch with quick set date, or no date is great as a mechanical and also closer to it's Gen version, 30 seconds to wind and set time if that
The better reps without Date quick set will be getting worn when going to functions etc so then I have time to bugger around setting dates, moon phases, laser cutting devices, spinning saw tooth bezels etc etc yak yak yak

This is Quartz, i mean, also the Gen Royal Oak Offshore Ladies 37 mm is indeed Quartz

Subdials function as per gen as this one has a Swiss quartz movement. I trawled everywhere for this particular GULF F1 special edition. Hard to find. Eli Eve it or not this one came from an Ali express dealer !!!! A lot of back and forth communication with pictures and specs and hey presto… this dealer came through and the watch is perfect.If ya don't mind me asking which TD did you get the Gulf from and are the sub dials functioning as Gen ? I love these F1's and wouldn't mind a Gulf to add to my collection

I got it on alibaba. You have to develop some relationships with nonTDs to get these. The Tudor is a VK quartz and the build quality is great. The big issue is the 3 subdial being incorrect but that doesn't bother me. I've got the other one too.
I bought the rivet bracelets on Aliexpress.
This one is really good too.

I’ve see some TUDOR quartz reps but they seem to be very overpriced so I’m keen to investigate other options. Also how’s the ORIS ? I’ve seen some of these but they seem to have aluminium cases ?

Sorry but it doesn't work that way. The dealers come and go and they usually have a Yupoo site that you can see the watches. If you look on the Gate or Ali and they mention they chat on whatsapp number then you can talk to them and they can send you the app. On alibaba you can even put it out for bid. They pay the gate or ali a lot to sell there so the price is higher. All those watches except the Oris were $65 to $90 and the Oris is a big chunk of metal. Heavy. No aluminum about it. Great bracelet. Most are microsteppers. I changed bracelets on the Tudors because they weren't rivets but there was nothing wrong with the initial bracelet. They look almost identical to my ZF ones. Our TDs won't handle this stuff because there isn't enough mark up in it.
This is an AN Factory reverso that I'm trying to get now. It's quartz and very nicely made.
