Hi friends... I like the watches but I like the battery powered movements more, they are more carefree and I don't need to wind up the watch whenever I want to put it on. Are there manufacturers that use a battery movement with a rep case?
Of course there are some, just search...Hi friends... I like the watches but I like the battery powered movements more, they are more carefree and I don't need to wind up the watch whenever I want to put it on. Are there manufacturers that use a battery movement with a rep case?
True, TAG make some quartz chronos (some would say £1500 reps of £60 Pagani's) if you hate having money. This is one option. It uses the same Swiss Ronda movement is the genuine.
Another to look at is the brettling endurance.

I love mechanical devices of any kind...watches, cars, bicycles, guns, even old steam engines. If it has more than 2 parts that move together, I could stare at it all day and think of reasons to take it apart and build it back better, so to speak.Part of the fun of mechanical movements is actually to wind and set it
But I see what you mean. I bought a nice Brew Metric with a VK63. This is a meca-quartz movement. You get some degree of mechanical but with the comfort of quartz.
Buy a nice automatic rep and a VK63 powered watch (gen, homage or rep) This way you have both depending on your mood
I need a "nofuxx" watch like thisI love mechanical devices of any kind...watches, cars, bicycles, guns, even old steam engines. If it has more than 2 parts that move together, I could stare at it all day and think of reasons to take it apart and build it back better, so to speak.
But some days, I damn sure appreciate the convenience of a watch that I only have to set every 5 years or so and forget about.
I've got a beater watch that's a Submariner homage with a quartz movement...bright blue dial, like $40 on AliX. It gets its share of wrist time, because sometimes it's all I need to get through the day, lol.
I like the way you think, lol.I need a "nofuxx" watch like this
let's go make a quartz 1016

If ya don't mind me asking which TD did you get the Gulf from and are the sub dials functioning as Gen ? I love these F1's and wouldn't mind a Gulf to add to my collectionThis one is 95% NWBIG and runs a Swiss quartz
I checked there. There are some R.Oaks or P. Nautilus models, but only for ladies. I am male and would like to get men models.Of course there are some, just search...
the 33mm in SS would wear well on a man's wrist, provided you are not @C Master aka PopeyeI checked there. There are some R.Oaks or P. Nautilus models, but only for ladies. I am male and would like to get men models.
