Today I "perfected" the blue build a bit more!

Total with gen. parts, two watches, sold surplus parts: €1.728,-

Nothing was bought at once, but if you want to perform a similar project, keep in mind that this won't be a cheap project.
Some parts were nicely priced (€400,- for a genuine blue dial is unheard off) They're priced for double that on the common sites like eBay, Chrono24 and Catawiki.

Unfortunately not, I do not sell it, I will never sell them and I don't do commissions.
This is purely to show what is possible and what can be done and maybe inspire others.

They're both done, I just finished the silver one this night with a set of genuine Rolex hands:

All done, installed and back together:

Only difference now is the date wheel on the blue one, that one is genuine.

Yesterday I received another genuine dial, you can say I have a type:

41mm Silver OP dial
36mm Silver OP dial
41mm Silver DJ dial

I also have a blue Yacht-Master (126622) dial with gen. hands.

So, more to come and more watches to build. ;-)

Recently finished a 41mm - same concept as my 36mm builds,
VS3235 in a Clean case.
Dials, hands, date discs and crystals are all genuine.

126622 Yacht-Master blue build:

The start of all this, VSF 126622 Yacht-Master:

At the end of last year I lowballed on a genuine blue Yacht-Master dial with red hands, suitable for the 3235, so the 126622.
I already had a brand new genuine 3235 date disc laying around (B3235-1-102-K1), I always felt bad about unboxing something that's brand new.

BUT, luckly I came across another 3235 date disc on eBay, still it was brand new in blister. But now I still have one. Call me weird.

Here it is, the VS3235 with a genuine 3235 date disc. The font is a tiny bit thicker. Not as thick as the Clean 3285 date wheel, but just a hair compared to the stock VSF date disc.

All in all, it was so worth it, the sunburst is perfect. The color is a bit darker, but I love it!
