I may be in the minority here but one of the reasons I became interested in reps is because I dont have to worry as much when using a sport watch as intended. Just make sure the case back is tight. If it leaks so be it, rather it be a 500 dollar rep than a 15k+ gen.

I wouldn't trust the waterproof rating on any low price watch; rep, homage or whatever. If I wanted to wear a watch in the water, then I'd get it tested prior to doing so.

And you're probably far more likely to crash on your motorcycle and wreck the rep, than it suffer water ingress due to a rain shower... Motorcycles are dangerous.
I agree with your post 100 percent. (at least with the better reps)
The reason I'm posting here is because your post reminded me of something when I bought one of my first reps.
I bought a Breitling Rep on vacation in Italy about 25 years ago :)
.when I walked to the restaurant in the evening, it started to rain heavily.
As soon as I arrived at the restaurant, I noticed that the crystal of the clock (from the inside) had become wet. When I got back home, I opened the clock to find that there was NO seal installed.
I then disposed of the watch because it only cost around 80 euros and was already rusty on the inside.
But the funny thing about this story is that at this moment, when I'm writing this post, I'm back in the exact place (on vacation) where this happened and I bought one of my first reps. Thank you for reminding me of it have where my
replica trip began.
